Happy Valley, in all three series, is probably the best British crime drama series ever made. The characters and acting are first class. Just the right blend of humility, raw emotion and suspense to make each episode compelling and suspenseful. Each story/theme is also very well anchored and interwoven with past and current events, which adds credibility and believability the plot as it unfolds. Not tame either. The violence, tragedy and character flaws pack powerful punches throughout. Subtle build-up adds even more impact. If you could win an Oscar for a TV drama then Sarah Lancashire would have won at least one already, possibly three! All three series are fantastic.
Great movie from start to finish. Highlights the emotions and sensitivities of sexual assault from perspective of both victim and perpetrator in the most convincing manner with stellar script, acting & direction.
Fiona Palomo was amazing and Alfonso Dosal was also brilliant. There were many points in this film where I forgot these two were acting altogether, even though they were both playing actors in the film.
This film is high impact, including sensitive moments with tears to unexpected twists in a plot that came together seamlessly.
Best Mexican film since Roma and better in my opinion.
