Wow, it's such a great series. Made me fall in love with chess again. The plot is well thought, feels natural, really nice to follow Beth as her characters develops. Also, the way top players live in their own little world, so happy to meet and exchange with their pairs even though friendship and rivalry intertwine.

BTW, I was struck dumb when I found out Harry Melling (Harry Baltik in the series) used to play Dudley Dursley in Harry Potter, wow. Impressive transformation both physical and as an actor! Time flies...

Also, now I'm following Anya Taylor-Joy's career... she's a killer, all right!

Great short movie (almost 25') with cute and attaching characters. This scenario went out of my predictions, which is quite rare. It is quite a simple story that went straight to its conclusion when you could have made a whole life initiation roadtrip instead.

So I really liked it and only wished they had taken more time and resources to develop the story and characters more. I'm quite sure there is plenty of material for a whole saga. But I understand it's not that easy to get invested with more resources and I'm already very satisfied and grateful for this piece of work.

The design reminded me of Samurai Champloo (Samurai Chanpurû on imdb), blessed with great animation work.
