This film fails to convey what they were doing or why they chose a poor location to hold up in. It seems the director was trying to be "realistic" by going for shock and horror over anything that made much sense. You watch Navy SEALs blindly shoot out of doors and windows wasting ammo while the enemy patiently moved in on their position. If this a retelling of true events then our SEALs are poorly trained.

The bad CGI is evident as almost nothing gets destroyed, instead you see a lot of black smoke and dust and when it disappears everything looks like it was before. What makes it worse is the producers did not get DOD approval for the Bradleys and instead used British FV432s which do not look the same. Overall this movie was a pointless waste of time.

By far this film is superior to the original. The 2018 Den of Thieves was a forgettable B level action movie with crappy dialogue that I had no interest in ever watching again. This however I have now seen three times, showing it to different people who all absolutely love it both women and men. In the original you felt no connection with any character and did not care what happened to any of them at the end, in this you do.

It is nice to see character development that leads to a well planned heist and finally an action packed showdown. All of the cast does an excellent job with what they are given while Gerard Butler and Evin Armad have real chemistry, so much so you want to see them in a movie together again (hopefully the sequel to this).

The Mediterranean is such a better location than tired old Los Angeles and the cinematography here beautifully captures the incredibly terrain and scenery. This film took me by surprise because I did not like the original and was not expecting much from this by boy did it deliver. For once in a long time I was on the edge of my seat routing for the thieves to get away. It takes a good director to make that feeling happen.

It is nice to walk away from a movie and smile for once.

Trying to find a documentary that does not derail itself by self-pontificating and looking for a new way to call Hitler a bad man is almost impossible but here it is.

Historical figures should be judged for their actions not by how many times a narrator can say someone is evil. It is pretty safe to say how Hitler would be judged but that is not the point because almost every documentary on Hitler fails to tell the man's story without having an orgasmic reaction to reminding you every 5 seconds he is Satan incarnate. Yes we know but WHY did he do what he did?

I want to learn about people, who they are, how they were raised, what led them to their beliefs and finally what made them perform the actions they ultimately did.

We are doing a grave disservice to new generations by pushing caricatures of important people instead of legitimate biographies.

These subjects need to be told cold with no emotion either way, no ones opinion that was never asked for, just tell us what he claimed was his reasoning and let us decide. This is the best attempt at that and for this you should give this a chance.
