Another jewel from Sheridan!!
Watching Ford again was a treat & Helen Mirren always delivers. Overall, the casting was superb, with many new faces for me.
The Dutton story is moving, raw & gritty, no matter which decade we're visiting. I love watching it unfold. It feels very real. Along with the intense family connections, there's plenty of heartache & tough times to go around for everyone. Actually, it can be downright heart wrenching! But it's a beautiful story.
I look forward to another sequel or prequel to Yellowstone - however you wish to look at it. Since 1944 is set in the post-depression era, hopefully we'll see a bit more happiness for the Dutton family.

The Gentlemen is my favorite Ritchie movie, which I've watched a few times now. It's smart, entertaining, well written and excellently cast. It's great to see his expansion into a Paramount series!
Knowing Ritchie was behind Mobland was enough reason for me to watch. Plus, Tom Hardy is in my list of top five most beloved, male actors, so I watch everything Hardy. And what's not to love about Brosnan, Mirren & Considine!? The acting is brilliant all around. Great to see Scanlan shine, as his Peaky Blinders character was limited.
Mobland certainly didn't disappoint! At times, I had difficulty understanding the thick Celtic or English dialects, but rewinding it with the volume turned higher helped me to understand most of Hardy's mumbling. Lol. I loved it all the same! And The tidbits of humor were a perfect touch!!
I certainly look forward to a second season.
I highly recommend MobLand!!!

Halfway through season 1, I felt compelled to review. The bad wigs were too much for me! Lol And I must say that I'm puzzled by the overall 7.6 rating. But, I suppose it's not intended for my age group.
4th episode into season 2, I found myself getting angry at the stupidity of the storyline and quickly realized WHO Netflix is catering to with this series! It's the type of college kids who protest and bash American ways by rooting for terrorist entities! One of the main characters has NO PLACE in the story, but is now calling the shots.
Although it's refreshing to see a production cast with mostly unknown actors, the series in general is kinda B rated. I very much like Gabriel Basso & Amanda Warren though.
Then there's the audio editing. When an echo (caused by voiceovers recorded in a small room) can be heard as two individuals are walking in the wide outdoors on an open campus, somebody sorely failed.
I simply cannot continue watching.
