Dude, did you just SEE that JoJo movie?! Phantom Blood but in a movie? It was epic! Jonathan's muscles were even more ridiculous than in the manga, and the Hamon battles? They totally popped! Like, that scene where he channeled the sunlight through his wine glass to roast that zombie? Chills, man, chills!
Sure, maybe they had to cut some stuff out to fit it all in. No Speedwagon? Kind of a bummer, but hey, the movie flew by! Ninety minutes of pure, gothic horror goodness. And the animation? It wasn't super fancy by today's standards, but it had this dark, gritty vibe that totally fit the story.
Plus, that soundtrack? That SOUL'd OUT song during the final fight? Perfect! It got me so pumped, I almost wanted to yell "Yare Yare Daze" myself! Seriously, this movie captured everything I loved about Phantom Blood: the rivalry, the Hamon, the sheer bizarreness of it all.
