Valutazione di circlegame
Based on Shipwrecked Comedy's past projects like Poe Party and Gilded Lily, I was expecting Headless to be a witty show packed with oddball characters and joke rich scenes. This time the Persaud sibling writing duo surpassed themselves in humor and in crafting complex emotional arcs for their characters. I definitely did not foresee some of the relationships that would develop or the choices certain characters would have to make. The last episode zigzagged between tragedy and optimism. The themes of building friendships, relying on community, and moving forward through grief were beautifully developed throughout the show.
Some favorite performances: Jimmy Wong as Max Lee, Sinead Persaud as Mathilda Bishop, Gabe Greenspan (a legend!) as Brom Bones, Sarah Grace Hart as Lucretia Lazenby (a BAMF, please excuse me, God Bless America), John Rubenstein (!) as Baltus Van Tassel (loved his take on the character, especially knowing he was not the original actor cast in the role, now I can't imagine another option), Krystina Arielle as Judy, The Babes.
I can't stop thinking about it! I would love a season 2.

The whole cast is so talented and committed. I really wasn't expecting the amount of song and dance in this show, but it's been a great surprise. The duet Viv and Roy do during the Roynocchio episode is so well done and adorable. It was really funny to see some of the characters from the cartoon translate to live action. Mary Kate Wiles as Vicky is a standout. Vicky is probably the most recognizable character (to me) from the original show, so I was really glad they show us what she's up to in dimmsdale now. I will never get over the bowl cut she has in the one flashback đ. She's a great foil for Viv and Roy's wishes. They really need to be more strategic about their wishes sometimes.
