Boy from Aberystwyth saving the day. This is Die Hard 2 for the Netflix generation. I guess you could call it Die Hard lite. This movie is definitely one of the best served up by Netflix. It's got lots of familiar faces and the lead actors do an amazing job. Taron Egerton has made his name as a boy action hero and now the boyo's become a man. He's often mentioned as the next James Bond, but I don't see it myself. I don't know why he'd want to be type cast as currently he can pick and choose more substantial roles. I hope Netflix continues with this kind of movie making and leaves out all of the poor CGI that has spoiled recent movies such as Heart of Stone. A strong 8/10 from me.

It's strange to look back at how this movie and George Lazenby was given such a hard time. The movie works and given a second chance I think Lazenby would have relished in the role. I think even he admits that he was difficult and probably could've managed relationship with the director and senior production better, his reluctance to jump on the marketing, hamster wheel cost him dearly. With all seriously, if Connery could do it, anyone could. Cinematically OHMSS is beautifully shot, come to think, it hasn't been bettered by any other Bond movie. The locations are breathtaking, the action is hard-hitting and the chase scenes are top drawer. Diana Rigg and Telly Savalas are outstanding, it has the best soundtrack and does romance in a bond movie like no other.
