Carrie is great, is fantastic, is one of the best films of all times, and one of my favourites films. Sissy Spacek is brilliant performancing to Carrie White (Academy Award Nominee Best Actrees), the rest of actors and actress (William Katt, Amy Irving, Nancy Allen...) are greats. But Piper Laurie is excellent, that with her performance of Margaret White, Carrie's mother, deserved an Oscar Nomination like Best Supporting Actress. Directed by Brian de Palma (Scarface, The Untouchables,...) Carrie isn't a scary movie, but is a thriller film really entertaining and interesting. If you never see this movie and you think to watch someday, do it, but watch it better in a Friday or Saturday night. My opinion: Marvelous, excellent, a classic of all times, don't lost it. Watch it.

I had the opportunity to watch this movie by means of a VHS that I have gotten in Spain, and I can really say that I like it a lot, it really entertained very much me. It is a pity that this movie has not been seen in my country, Argentina, and according to my thought, in any other country of Latin America. Precisely alone in Spain. But well, I had the opportunity to see it and I am not sorry. The movie begins when Lawrence (Joseph Fiennes) takes a psycological session where he talk about he, his two friends and a person that they have in common. Martha (Monica Potter), an American young girl, travels to London to make her new life. There, in the same flight, she will know Daniel (Tom Hollander), a young man that will fall in love at first sight of her. Then, Martha will know in a park to Frank (Rufus Sewell), an actor with bad luck in the love, that also will fall in love of her. But Martha doesn't like to both. Alone she will fall in love at first sight with Lawrence, to who she will know accidentally in the airport. Lawrence, a young man serious but a little clumsy, will also fall in love with her. But Martha doesn't know that three guys that she met at same time are friends. How will react when she know the truth??? This movie has a resemblance to the typical American romantic comedies, being in fact an English movie. But I really recommend it for anyone. It is such a simple movie that it will catch you from the beginning until the end. It should not really allow it to happen. The performances of Potter, Fiennes, Hollander and Sewell are brilliant, but I have heard many complaints with that the character of Potter could have been interpret better by Julia Roberts. For my, Potter is quite well in this movie. It is a pity, but this movie should really have been watched here in Argentina and Latin America of Spanish Language. My opinion: A great movie, Really if you have the opportunity to see it, it doesn't waste it, will see it. Amusing, pleasant, funny, a great romantic comedy. Don't get lost it.

Really "Muriel's Wedding" is one of the best movies of the 90 '. Is a film about the dreams that we have and we want to carry out.

Muriel, a quiet and shy young girl that constantly lives in a dream: to know the man of her life and to marry with him. Muriel lives with her family: her father, a future councilman, but put in the corruption, her mother, put in her own world and her four vague siblings. She had everything, until their "friends" decide to take it to her out of the group because her not this in the "level" of certain girls. She doesn't know how to get dressed, she doesn't know how to put on makeup, and she listens music of the 70 ', in fact, it is fanatic of ABBA. For that reason their "friends" expel her of the group. But in a trip of vacations, Muriel finds her old friend of the high school: Rhonda, a young girl most happy and nice that Muriel. Thanks to Rhonda, Muriel changes her personality, now she dressed very well, she uses very well the make-up and she is most sociable now. But Muriel still dreams of finding that man of her life. But one day, she reads those magazines of where one search to know people, and she finds him.... for to know what will happen you must watch the movie.

"Muriel's Wedding" is an amusing, fascinating and wonderful movie, with an excellent script, with excellent actors, mainly Toni Collette like Muriel, and Rachel Griffiths like her friend Rhonda, and an excellent soundtrack composed in their majority by music of ABBA, like "Waterloo" and "Fernando", among other. There are very funny scenes, mainly when Muriel's sister always tells her: "You're terrible Muriel" One of the best australian movies and one of the best movies seen in the 90 '.

My opinion:Highly I recommend it for everybody and to see it any day. Excellent!!!!! A wonderful movie!!!!!
