The film The Everything Pot is highly recommended! I found this film to be charming, engaging, entertaining... I saw this film at the wonderful Cordillera Film Festival in Nevada and thoroughly enjoyed this indie from start to finish (packed house for the screening!). There is something in this film for everyone: humor, relationships, a little drama, and a fun storyline that keeps you leaning into these characters throughout. This one is a great date movie or good for a group of friends hanging out in the living room with a few bottles of wine, cheers to the director Sherise Dorf and her cast and crew!
Beautifully shot, skillfully acted, this indie production is outstanding. Ed Italo is the real deal, Phil Donlon does tremendous work in his supporting role and Justina Machado is a one of the best Latina actors in the biz hands down. And no, I'm not related to anyone in this production.
And now, after attempting to submit my comments, I'm being told I need more text in order to "qualify." No problem. This indie piece reminds filmmakers how rich Chicago neighborhoods are for production. You can't make Toronto look this good, I promise you. If you run into Ed Italo out west, ask him for a screener of this film. Then ask him to shoot your feature.
Cheers
