We do not need this kind of vitriolic, mean spirited garbage infiltating our already pathetic world at this time. Shame on everyone participating in this travesty. I was initially watching becauae of Ali Wong, because I have great respect for her as a comic, and I wanted to see how this series played out. Unfortunately, affter what I believe was seven episodes, i real realized how dispicably mean spirited this show was, and I stopped watching. As a society, we do not need more mean spirited input, to our lives, in any way and especially not through our media. Shame on you all for thinking ths is valid "entertainment.' Especially at this time.
-- in this disgusting, sexist, pathetic world. It's a miracle she survived as long as she did. She chose the worst profession to be in, to say the very least. Such a sensitive and beautiful soul, sucked up and destroyed by fame. This relentlessly tortured and completely misunderstood soul was tragically abused by nearly everybody in the brutal film industry, Kudos to this film for having the balls to go beyond the glitz and glamour of the persona. A magnificent performance as Arthur Miller and Marilyn, and a staggeringly brilliant script and ballsy film on all possible levels. Major, major kudos for this moving depiction of a legend to even have been released.

Sure, this film was flashy and glitzy and showy and larger than life...but so was
Elvis. This fear-driven world did not know - especially at that time - how to deal wth such an untarnished, untamed by society genius, and he most definitely paid for it, on all levels. All he wanted was to express himself, the way he was born to do. That freedom of spirit threatened and upset a lot of fearful people. How he managed to be true to himself that long is a miracle in itself. And Austin Butler's transcentental performance is in itself a second miracle. A transcendant film, handled in a perfectly subversive way.
