My friend likes this series and wanted me to also watch it. I started watching it with him and liked it from the very first episode. I'm really impressed how the issues of gay community has been handled. This is first TV serials I saw about that. The characters are nicely woven and story progress is simple great. Story is about a boy and his journey from school days to his adult life. Series also focus on Afro- American community who face issues. Since season one was this gripping. I'm sure next season is gonna be even better.Hats off to director for making it better. I can't wait to watch more episodes. I hope it will come soon.
In terms of online web series content for the LGBT community, it's very hard to find a quality show that touches on ethnic based subjects that is done in a tasteful manner. Cheetah In August, is a series that tells a story that unveil faces of the community that are not discussed in terms of mental conditions and sections of religion. The pilot drags a little, but helps the viewer understand the lives of the people we will soon come to love in the show. The acting in this series is along the lines of 'Empire, Power, and Scandal.' Just to point out, Andre Myers (August) and Jonathon Medina (Thatcher) are amazing and truly a pleasure to watch on screen! I would recommend everyone of color to check out this show you will not be disappointed.
This is a excellent series that depicting a young man named August who's life is a emotional challenge due to his struggles with his sexuality. His struggles derives from a physical and verbal abusive father that is unexcepting of his homosexuality. This riveting drama get deeper a this people he looks too for love and guidance attempt to take advantage of his vulnerability to satisfy their lustful nature. This wonderful crafted show, shows the sentiments of young love, that has been tampered and taken advantage of by lust, and the confusion a young man goes through in his mind and heart when he doesn't know if he is being excepted in relationships or just being used. From turning out straight men too being in deeply in love this series will show you the reality of a lifestyle not know to most and will have you on the tip of your set ready to ride deep in to this heart reaching drama.
An engaging story line hooks you right in to Cheetah in August's concerns. The main character's struggle to resolve their identity once and for all is riveting and at times too real. The show touches topics that are rarely discussing in other mainstream shows, and this gives any viewer an astonishing experience. I liked it mostly because the characters, in themselves, are so captivating that I almost forgot to do my chores for two weeks. Actually I kept missing them, just thinking about the deep implications this show has to our society. All in all, it's a great show you wouldn't wanna miss!
This film displays a sort of effortless innocence. It's rather good, I suppose, taken against the grain of some other independent films. It stands out on its own and is significantly better because it is able to show both reverence and retaliation to its material. What I really like about it is how the characters emanate everything else that the film needs despite its low budget. Perhaps that's why they chose these actors, as refreshing their faces are, they're also really good at what they do. The film explores its social themes and does so quite daftly, with a critical eye that's keen to the slightest political nuance a word may bear.

This past weekend I had the opportunity to attend a private screening of this series! This show had me literally engaged the entire time. The production quality for an independent production was top notch and would hold it's own with the big budget series like "Orange is the New Black, & Transparent." Cheetah in August, is filled with drama, sex, laughter. Cheetah in August, touches on topics that are hot in the media in regards to religion and the right of same-sex love. This show is not for kids due to the nature of the content but it's worth the $11.99 season pass subscription. Thus, if you one of those teens or young adults struggling to understand your sexuality "Cheetah in August" is a must watch! Check it out on Vimeo on Demand!
