Though the description says this is for ages 5-8, everyone in my household (adults and older kids) love this show. It is some of the funniest TV out there, with a real weird sense of humor coming rapid fire.
The characters are fantastic, the writing is strong, and they fit in the educational parts seamlessly with the overall oddness going on.
Maybe the biggest selling point is that getting my kids out of bed for school is a pain, but I found that all I need to do is turn on Odd Squad and they stumble out on their own soon after as they want to see the show.

As a teacher in training I find this show really exciting for learning. While it is educational it's actually really entertaining. It's humour is actually quite sophisticated and there are some laughs for adults too. The quirky characters are very well developed and the writing quite clever.I think the children will really connect with the characters and be absorbed by the story. The crazy situations are great for children. Plus the clever humor is great for parents and older siblings. So while it is a maths show it is quite entertaining. From an educational point of view I can see its potential as an introduction to mathematical concepts to children and I can see how lessons can be drawn from the episodes. I may even consider using some episodes myself! So I give it a big thumbs up from both a viewer's and an educational perspective.
Terrific show
Great characters, good scripts (with cracking jokes) and it gets the maths lessons in without distracting from the entertainment.
And it's not trying to get your kids to buy rubbish merchandise, so all good there.
And it's absolutely great. I'm 19 and this show makes me laugh like I'm watching an adult sitcom.
It's bizarre, educational, and the fact the characters take themselves seriously and aren't 'Dora' style or 'Blue's Clues' style (No jokes, only cute weird animals and abruptly stopping the show every damn minute to ask the audience stuff) means they take the audience seriously.
This show is HIGHLY underrated on imdb in my opinion, with 6.5 stars at the time I write this. My 5-year old is hooked on this show, and I couldn't be happier about it. My wife and I are educators, and the explanations of math concepts from place value to comparison to basic addition and subtraction are really top notch, and written into the plots in such a way to be extremely engaging.
The humor is the show's other major selling point. The jokes are often simple (which is good so kids can get them), but the acting from ALL the child actors on the show is just top notch. Either they all watch SNL, or the show just has great direction, or something, because their timing is uncannily good and I am often involuntarily laughing from the kitchen as my daughter watches.
Representation is great on the show too, with cast members from diverse ethnicities, lots of roles of agency and responsibility for kids (especially girls), and all the characters are equally the butt of a slew of friendly jokes, so even though many of the characters are admirably portrayed, no one feels like they are on a pedestal.

- BlooperThe episode Odds and Ends Part 1 and 2 reveal that Ohlm is not known to be an agent on paper because there is no paperwork on him (as Oona states), yet is still considered an agent by Ms. O, because she puts him to work with agent Otto. It is never revealed how someone can be an agent and not an agent at the same time throughout the series. Conflicting information.
