Helen gets to learn that Todd is planning to get a power of attorney over her, but someone has been tampering with her medication, leaving her in a slightly muddled state.
I keep hoping this will get better. Episode three saw a slight improvement, but sadly it's still poor. Todd's storyline is ridiculous, and I've got to question if there's a single brain cell in the family's collective intelligence - they're just so stupid. Have none of them seen 'The Hand That Rocks the Cradle'?
The way Amanda and Simon are carrying on... is there no CCTV in that hotel? A hotel that makes Fawlty Towers look like a five-star establishment.
The acting, again - I'm sorry to slate it - is so bad. Kym Marsh stands around raising eyebrows throughout; she's just not great here. Jane Harber, who plays Kate, is a cut above and actually doing a decent job.
Melodrama, poor acting - it all lands like a lead balloon in a sick bag. It feels like watching a special edition of a nightmare fusion of 'EastEnders' and 'Neighbours... Eastbours?'
4/10.
