The Imposter

I like the concept of the programme but when did entertainment consist of sex, drugs and foul language. This is why I don't watch TV anymore but when I saw this advertised I was intrigued so thought I'd give it a go. I like Kym Marsh as an actress and it was good to see Jackie Woodburne in something different. I watched it to see what happened but if this is what TV programmes are like these days I think I'll stick to the old stuff.

This happened with another show as well, the filters for this show were also used on Heat and With Intent and it seriously is not needed because it really hurts the eyes. I know that it needs to be edited but was the overuse of sepia needed? No.

Other then that it is a decent first go after more then 30 years on neighbours for Jackie Woodburne who also was given the wig of all bad wigs, a treat for any other neighbours fan to watch her work for sure.

Other then sepia seeping into absolutely everything except wideshots and views of the city, don't overuse sepia for the sake of everyones eyes.

This is the worst C5 serial we've watched. From the amateurish wooden over acting, the ridiculously 'aged' 'Helen' with the dreadful wig & over greyed eyebrows to the unbelievable & frankly silly storyline.

Absolutely nothing is believable.

As for the 'sexy' bits ... they were just plain cringe.

What a waste of time money & effort.

This was the most delectable series...mind completely blown. If you can watch this with someone, pound some drinks and yell at the DUMB as a box of nails family that this story revolves around.

Synopsis: First off, the show is called the Imposter, so I can not skate around the elephant in the room. The O'Riley family owns a beautiful harbor side hotel and small convention destination in some place in Australia. It seems, they might be up to selling, but horrible wig wearing Mom is undecided. She also has this degenerative eye disease and has been having accidents. Ole Mrs. Riley has 3 children, all working at the hotel. Enter, her long lost daughter she gave up for adoption. From the second this woman arrives, people around are missing, dropping like flies and Mrs. O'Riley is now tripping over carpets, falling down stairs...This is all happening as the new daughter, Side eye Sally (Amanda), has fully taken charge of care. None of the 3 kids put two and two together. The other daughter, Kate, seems sharp, but she's not. Her husband is taking meth and trying to sell the hotel to the rivals, so he could get the realtor kick-back. The absurd part, is, aren't these people seeing how needy new daughter is? You turn your back, and boom, she's there, saying something like, "Let me take care of it for you", all with a sly grin and side eye. My goodness guys, I had to watch this in 1 per night, you can binge this GEM. By the way Danii Minogue is the real daughter.

Total dross, don't waste your time watching this as you could watch grass grow instead. Chanel five seem to specialise in garbage dramas and this one is right up there with the worse ones yet.

If there was any good points I would point them out but I couldn't find any except the fact it's a four parter rather than six.
