Though, TV was always junk. YTV and the Zone made TV so warm, pleasant and classic.
The Zone was segments that ran from after school till the evenings that consist of real people and a machine. They would do gags, read mail, interview people, go on trips like CNE and tell you what shows are next. Some host were cool, others were ok. The most memorable was PJ Phil a.k.a. Phresh Phil. The narrator also had skills the why he call what shows were next. He was so extra and it worked very well.
Sorry for the gen that missed The Zone. That was indeed a one off.
The Zone was awesome back in the day. TYV was once a classic channel and its sad to see what it is today even though I think TV is junk.
