This movie is a remake of "the quiet family" a Korean movie .. but the essence of Tamil cinema been added with few alterations..makes us laugh as well as fear ...
Yaamirukka Bayamey is a film which basically revolves around a guy whose life is eaten up by problems till his long-lost dad offers him a house property. Knowing that this is his chance to start afresh, he decides to move in with his girlfriend. He meets two other people and together, they transform the house into a hotel and start up their business. What happens in the hotel is something the viewers will have to find out as they watch the film. The film is funny and refreshing in parts, some scenes are even creative. Viewers will definitely not be disappointed with the final product. As for the most part of the film, it focuses mainly on typical spooks and scares. What makes it interesting is the comedy which is infused together with those scenes. It's a good attempt from a new team, yet definitely could've showed more strength in several scenes. We have few Tamil movies in the recent past that is in the blend of genres horror and humor. And this movie is definitely of improved quality. The music supports the genre switches very nicely. Horror when horror is needed followed by the immediate humor. The film is highly trimmed and doesn't have much unwanted scenes but the song in the flash back doesn't look much necessary, and the performance of Aadhav Kannadasan (flash back lead actor) is not good particularly the dialogue delivery looks very artificial, distracting and doesn't stick to the ongoing movie stream. Not sure if that was intended. One more to the negatives that we can point about the double meaning dialogues which doesn't add much to the comedy either as the humor in script itself was good enough. A neutral viewer will be surprisingly satisfied more than what ever they expected :)
A newly inherited property-turned-hotel brings in all sort of trouble wherein every guest who rents dies before sunrise.
"Yaamiruka Bayamey" is loosely based on a Korean movie with the same premise. Nonetheless it performs exceedingly well and is worth the time and money.
Kiran is a happy-go-lucky cum good-for-nothing teenager who barely survives each day with a girlfriend of equal qualities. When fortune bangs on their door they quickly grasp it only to realise later that there is more to their good fortune than meets the eye.
Their newly acquired property is renovated into a resort with a manager and his sister to help them run the business. But when the first guests arrive, the problem starts and gets worse with each passing moon.
The success of this project lies in the way it had intelligently blended horror and humour, the two most contrasting qualities that can be brought on screen. Still, the screenplay has done a fine job to give you a stomach ache via laughter. The laughter quotient is so huge that even when the horror elements arrive, you are still laughing because of the preceding joke.
Given the fact, the film is shot almost in its entirety inside a guest house, it is appreciable that there are no loose or uncanny moments. We are kept deep within our seats laughing at every possible joke the movie can offer.
With no heroism, no unnecessary songs, it's movies like these that gives me the confidence that the future of Tamil cinema is in safe hands.

First, let me state that I wont give any points for acting talent here. A better cast would have made the movie much better.
The first half of the movie contains some pretty cheap comedy scenes and in fact made me regret my decision to watch this movie. The part where they start the hotel had a lot of scope for introducing some great humour and more so for the scenes wherein the guests troop in. But what we get is some really unimaginative stuff.
It is towards the end of the first half that the movie comes into its elements with some genuine laughs coming through. The film comes alive in the second half and gets better with each passing scene. The horror scenes are spoofed from movies like the 'Women in black' and it is laced well with humour. The fake diviner, the mysterious old man all add to the laughs.
The movie could have been much better and does not deserve the high ratings given here but overall it provides good entertainment, with the second half being the saving grace.
