I had been following this game for a couple of years prior to release, even when the working title was still called "Everywhere". I honestly was not very impressed with any of the trailers besides the graphics, which isn't saying much because all games look great these days, and I was correct in not getting too excited.
Mindseye feels like a game straight out of the PlayStation 2/3 era, it's a lifeless cookie cutter game that will be forgotten about within a month. It is ridiculous that in 2025 a game like this can release and be sold for £60.
The Pros: As stated before this game looks fantastic graphically and really takes advantage of the Unreal Engine 5 system, cutscenes look very lifelike too which is a testament to how far games as a medium have come
The Cons: This game is lacking in nearly every single department, for example: There is no weapon customisation, no character customisation, no vehicle customisation, no melee combat (which is utterly ridiculous in 2025), no stealth mechanics and you can't even steal other vehicles most of the time. There are also no shops or a police/wanted system in mindseye which is baffling, if games from 2002 had at least half of these things, there is no excuse for Mindseye.
Story wise this game is not much better, everyone and everything is bland and generic as possible. You play as Jacob Diaz, a former soldier with a mysterious neural implant known as the mindseye. He is portrayed by Alex Hernandez who does his best but the dialogue in this game is abhorrent at times and makes me wonder if some of it was written by AI. All the actors do the best they can but are all let down by poor writing and bad dialogue. The ending is unintentionally hilarious with how abrupt and shameless the sequel bait is.
Gameplay wise Mindseye is extremely outdated, shooting is stiff and your character hardly reacts to damage at all. This game really does feel like it was taken from the PlayStation 2 era. Mindseye also suffers from painfully repetitive mission design like you'd find in a Ubisoft game. Every mission is just a big shootout, or a big car chase where you'll be shooting out the window constantly for three minutes at a time. Too many missions are on rails which is not up to 2025 standards
The last thing I want to mention about Mindseye is how frustrating the bugs and glitches are. Crashes are extremely common and it doesn't matter the device you're playing it on. Frames will sometimes drop to single digits during gameplay and even cutscenes. NPC's will sometimes clip through the ground and cars will just glitch into each other constantly.
Overall Mindseye is a glitchy, half baked pile of rubbish that you should absolutely not waste your money on. No amount of patches can fix a fundamentally broken game.

I honestly don't even know where to start. Mind's Eye isn't just a bad game - it's a near artistic-level disaster. It's the perfect example of how to waste 60 bucks without even needing a lighter. I've rarely played something that manages to fail this gloriously in every single category.
Technically? A complete train wreck. The game crashes constantly - whether you're on a high-end PC or a console. I played on PS5, and even that couldn't keep it stable at 30 FPS. Two crashes in under an hour. Incredible work.
Gameplay? If you can even call it that. It feels like a flashback to 2004, without the nostalgia. Five guns total, no melee, no stealth - every mission is the same boring cycle: fly a drone, shoot a few enemies, chase someone who can't be stopped until the game decides it's time. Tension? None. Variety? Doesn't exist.
Story? Well, it's there. The characters are paper-thin, the dialogue is painfully cringe-worthy, and everyone talks in these failed Marvel-style quips that sound like they were written by ChatGPT on acid. The only remotely decent thing is the cutscenes - they genuinely look great. The mocap and visual direction are solid. It's just a shame the rest of the game plays like a box of broken Legos in a blackout.
Open world? Not really. It tricks you into thinking it's a mini-GTA clone, but that illusion dies fast. The game is incredibly linear, and if you step one foot off the mission path, it punishes you or fails the mission. Side content? Laughable. One "side mission" had me place three police bots and watch them shoot waves of enemies running in straight lines. That's not content - that's laziness.
AI behavior? My personal favorite moment: I shot someone in the street right in front of two police drones - and they just stood there, watching. Didn't react at all. As if it was just another Tuesday. The realism here is off the charts.
And yet... it's almost entertaining in how awful it is. You don't laugh with this game - you laugh at it. And that's the only reason I didn't uninstall it after 30 minutes: I was too fascinated by the disaster unfolding in front of me.
Final verdict: Mind's Eye is a monument to failed ambition and terrible design. Even if you're into "so bad it's funny" games, this is a tough ride. Do not buy it. Not even on sale. Wait until it's bundled for free with your morning cereal - and even then, think twice.

I think it's fun 🤷♀️ graphics are fine . Overall the story seems interesting enough and throughout I*** personally haven't had glitches or on the direct problems but that's just with my own experience , i don't know why it's rated this low because i feel like it should atleast get a 5/10 it's genuinely a good grasp and very clearly isn't supposed to be an open world game similar to what other people are looking for upon when reviewing but that's because it's a different genre , throughout it kept me interested and for. The. Type of person i am it should say something and it isn't boring as such compared to different.
No more issues with new update.
The story should be made into a movie Really good action and drama.
If you like GTA, Cyberpunk, Mafia you have to give this one a try.
Great acting No more issues with new update.
Awesome ending and wait until end credits It will blow your mind!
Don't listen to the hate and try it for yourself Don't mind the little things and focus on the story it's really good.
This game should be in the top 5 of 2025 but with all the issues prior to launch (advanced copies) the game is getting a bad wrap. I hate to see this, especially when Mindsete is so good! Give it a try.

Like the launch of cyberpunk 2077 it's a disaster the gameplay is boring dull and lifeless I don't understand why the developers couldn't test the game before they released it for the overall buggy experience and and stutters and glitches why make a game don't market it don't test it don't polish it so it's good and ready and then release the game with unoptimised frame rate and gameplay with untested bugs checks and even wait to correct the bugs I'm 32 and I remember when developers used to release that does work and has been polished and well made
Now they just don't care and not test games anymore please don't get this game it's a scam and a mess.
