The Caller is an atmospheric, tightly crafted film that stands out not just for its story, but for the singular vision behind it. Andy Blithe takes on every role behind and in front of the camera, creating a deeply personal, introspective work that feels both intimate and unsettling.
What makes the film so compelling is its emotional texture. It explores themes like isolation, inner conflict, and identity with subtlety and restraint, letting silence and imagery speak louder than exposition. Visually, it's striking - beautifully lit and sharply composed - with a sound design that adds an eerie pulse to the quiet tension.
Though unconventional in format and tone, The Caller leaves a strong impression. It's not just a technical feat - it's an honest, skillful meditation on the inner battles we often face alone.

Andy Blithe, who seems to be proving to the film community that not necessarily you need a big crew to make a short film. He is his own one-man army as he shoots, acts, edits, lights and provides voices for other parts... if there's hardly any.
Blithe does a good job here keeping the story consistent and it doesn't bore. I'm shocked to hear that this is all made by one guy.

The Caller is a whirlwind of ambiguity, vulnerability and macabre within 40 minutes of screen time, and it definitely doesn't disappoint to whoever watches it. It's a great piece that studies the theory of a miscalculated contract killer who suffers from a form a memory loss due to a tragic accident. Without saying anything to spoil, it really makes you feel and I thought it was so well shot, especially after hearing that it was all made by one person, being in front and behind the camera. It just shows that anything is possible and I can't wait to see more projects from Andy Blithe and his skills.

- QuizDid you know this film has only one actor who is also the crew - it's a first in terms of a self shot film of this length whereby only one person was involved. The actor even plays more than one role.
