Ambitious but falls flat.

While the film presents an interesting premise, the narrative flow is unfortunately disrupted by the frequent use of flashbacks and differing points of view, which may lead to some audience confusion. The courtroom scenes, though intended to be dramatic, sometimes feel a bit simplistic. Additionally, the protagonist's initial silence can make it challenging to fully engage with her situation. When the film does offer moments of dramatic tension it's ruined by songs that don't work for this type of movie and scenes that completely halt the pacing.

The acting and writing was good, I was impressed by the sardar actor who plays an advocate, The directing falls very flat. Very amateur.

No need to watch in the theatres, save your money. 6/10.

More of murder mystery

It's a good movie, good execution, more of murder mystery but it has nothing much to do with the Canada or the ongoing IELTS marriage scam or other things related. Everyone acted great. Mandy was looking great, I am not sure if she gained weight for this movie but she looked amazing as always. Other main lead was chracter adv Samra Singh his acting was great too. At one point when facts to Mandy's sister come to light, movie kind of became obvious. I am sure people would have appreciated if story was related to real people who had struggles in Canada, there are so many stories of real struggles, goto Surrey, Brampton and other cities where Punjabi students work, with high hopes of a better life, I am sure that would serve a better cause.

Below Average/Misleading Title

If you're solely going to the watch this movie that it delivers a social message regarding the immigration frauds of contractual marriages then please don't, you'll be disappointed, movie has nothing to do with the title.

There's a stupid plot twist which doesn't live up to the expectation. Film tries to be a suspence thriller but fails miserably.

Further acting is subpar. Mandy Thakar looks like a middle age woman although she is playing a young student.

Cinematography is also bad, it seems like shot by some amatures.

Not worth to watch atleast in theatre. You can avoid it and wait for it available on OTT platforms if you still interested.

Six each

One the best movies you can watch in Punjabi cinema not a normal Punjabi movie too much twists in the movie must watch. Hardeep grewal work hard as always. Mandy takhar acting was top notch. Must go and watch with your family. This movie show the dark reality of punjab and shed light on some of the most controversial topics that no one wants to talk. This movie shows the two sides of everything from a single person to society. I saw this type of movie in Punjabi cinema after so long you should go and give it a try so new artist from our industry can see appreciation start makings more movies like this Thanks.

Failed to show the reality

This movie deviates from reality. In India, many families invest heavily - sometimes even taking loans - to support their daughters-in-law's higher education, believing it benefits both the girl and her husband. In cases where the girl's family can't afford her education, the marriage can still be a win-win if the husband's family supports her studies.

However, in reality, there have been tragic cases where husbands have taken their own lives when, after sponsoring their wife's education abroad (like in Canada), the wife refuses to process the husband's immigration papers or ends the relationship, leaving him behind in emotional and financial ruin. This heartbreaking outcome is rarely shown in movies, which often oversimplify or romanticize such situations.

Best one . Movie will worth you time and money

Never seen such a hard work in punjabi movie. I don't like punjabi movies much reason is acting, direction, poor story, same reel story punch . Nothing new. But this movie really changed my mind about punjabi movies. Starting to finish, i haven't lost my interest for a single moment. Thanx for beautiful creations and massage.i like south and Hollywood movie most of the time because there story, acting, direction, hard work can be seen in movie and movies have different stories, different perspective, new ideas. Its fun watching good movies. Really enjoyed the movies specially Mandi takhar's acting. In starting, when camera was shaking, i thought this gonna be disappointing decision choosing this movie on Saturday. But it was really good Saturday evening. Hoping to watch such movies again in punjabi industry. Gems are still around. Hard work always worth it.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

six each

Six Siege was marketed as an intense, action-packed thriller, but honestly, it's just another overhyped disappointment. From the trailers, you'd expect a gripping storyline with high stakes, but what we actually got was just a typical, average Punjabi movie with nothing that justifies the title.

The production built up so much excitement, making it seem like it would be something different, something unique. But once you sit through it, you realize it's the same old formula-predictable plot, and random emotional moments that don't really hit. If you're expecting a deep or high-intensity film, this isn't it.

The title Six each suggests something strategic, something war-like, maybe a tactical thriller. But there's nothing in the movie that even remotely connects to the name. It feels like they just picked a cool-sounding title to attract viewers, but didn't put in the effort to make the story match.

Punjabi cinema achieving new heights.

Acting, story, and direction all are exceptional. The performances are heartfelt, the screenplay is tight, and the direction is both thoughtful and impactful. What truly stands out is the film's balanced portrayal of gender dynamics. Neither does it indulge in pseudo-feminism, nor does it lean towards chauvinism. Instead, it focuses on genuine storytelling and strong character development. Hardeep Grewal and Mandy Takhar have given their best in their respective roles. A refreshing change from the typical narratives, this film respects the intelligence of its audience and delivers a compelling message without being preachy. Highly recommended.

Not up to the standards

Review of Six Each (Punjabi Movie)

Punjabi cinema has seen significant growth in recent years, with filmmakers experimenting with new themes and storytelling styles. However, not every film manages to deliver an engaging experience. Six Each is one such attempt that, despite its potential, falls short of expectations.

Weak Storyline and Predictability

One of the biggest letdowns of Six Each is its weak and uninspired storyline. The movie starts with an interesting premise, making the audience believe that something exciting is about to unfold. However, as the story progresses, it becomes evident that it lacks depth and originality. The plot revolves around courtroom drama, a marriage of convenience for immigration, and a revenge subplot, but instead of blending these elements into a gripping narrative, the film struggles to find a clear direction.

Throughout the film, there is a constant feeling that something big is about to happen. Unfortunately, the film never delivers on this anticipation until the climax, which, ironically, is highly predictable. The final message of the film seems to exist only to justify the title, rather than offering any meaningful resolution. This makes the entire journey feel hollow and unsatisfying.

Screenplay and Execution - A Missed Opportunity

A strong screenplay can often compensate for a weak story, but in the case of Six Each, the writing further diminishes whatever little impact the film could have had. The dialogues lack depth, and many scenes feel repetitive. Instead of building suspense or emotional engagement, the screenplay makes the film drag, testing the audience's patience.

There are moments where the film hints at thought-provoking themes, particularly in the courtroom sequences, but they are never fully explored. Similarly, the marriage-of-convenience angle, which could have been an engaging subplot, is treated superficially, adding little value to the overall story. The revenge arc, which should have been intense and emotionally charged, also falls flat due to poor execution.

Performances - A Ray of Hope

Despite the film's weak script, the actors put in their best efforts to bring their characters to life. The lead actors try to add depth to their roles and deliver sincere performances. However, even their commendable efforts cannot save a film that lacks a compelling narrative.

The supporting cast does a decent job, but their characters are underdeveloped, leaving little room for impactful performances. If the screenplay had been tighter and the characters better written, the actors could have truly shined.

Production Value and Direction

The cinematography and production design of Six Each are fairly decent, with some well-shot sequences. However, technical aspects alone cannot compensate for a weak script. The direction, while ambitious, fails to bring cohesion to the multiple storylines. Instead of seamlessly integrating the courtroom drama, immigration issue, and revenge plot, the film jumps between them without a clear sense of purpose.

The pacing is another major drawback. The film drags in many places, making the audience feel disconnected from the story. Scenes that should have been impactful end up feeling stretched and unconvincing.

Final Verdict - A Disappointing Experience

Overall, Six Each is a film that had potential but ultimately fails to leave an impression. With a weak storyline, a predictable climax, and a screenplay that lacks depth, the movie does not offer anything fresh or engaging. While the actors give their best, they are let down by the poor execution of the story.

For those expecting an intense thriller or courtroom drama, Six Each will likely be a disappointment. It does not provide the gripping tension or emotional depth that such films require. The final message of the film feels forced, as if the makers simply wanted to justify the title rather than deliver a strong, meaningful conclusion.

If you are considering watching this movie in theatres, it might not be worth your time and money. There are far better Punjabi films that offer a more engaging and fulfilling cinematic experience. Unless you are a die-hard fan of the actors, Six Each is one you can skip.

Great movie and different concept.

The movie is highly engaging and based on true events, making it a must-watch. It keeps the audience captivated throughout without a moment of boredom. Every character in the movie delivers an outstanding performance, bringing depth and authenticity to the story. The story follows a young woman from a middle-class family who dreams of studying in Canada. However, upon arriving, she faces unexpected challenges, setting the stage for a compelling and dramatic journey. In the middle of the story, new layers of drama and suspense unfold, keeping the audience engaged with unexpected twists and emotional depth. ..

Blunder, below average

"Six Each" attempts to deliver a social message but falters in execution. The direction, storytelling, production, and writing lack coherence, making the film a tedious watch. Mandy Takhar's performance is a redeeming factor; her acting and beauty stand out amidst the chaos. However, her efforts alone can't salvage the film. It's disheartening to see resources spent on such a project. Perhaps, Grewal Saab could have conveyed the intended message more effectively through social media rather than producing this film. Future endeavors should be reconsidered to save both money and the audience's time. Overall, "Six Each" is a disappointment and not worth the watch.

Best Is best

After such a long long time I got to see an excellent Punjabi movie. Brilliant direction and awesome acting by Hardeep Grewal. Truly enjoyed watching the movie.

Congratulations to the entire team. This movie should inspire other Punjabi filmmakers to produce quality movies for Punjabi audience.

This film stands tall amongst the other regional movies form Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra, Kerala, Tamil Nadu based film industry and also Bollywood.

Director has done justice to all the characters in a balanced manner. All the characters ir this movie has played their part and deserve acknowledgment.

Thank you!!

Lost in Its Own Story, But Kudos for the Effort

I just watched Six Each and honestly, it left me more confused than engaged. The movie loses focus on its main subject and tries to do too many things at once. The plot feels scattered, with too much unnecessary drama that doesn't really add value to the story. It ends up diluting the emotional impact and making it hard to stay connected with the characters.

I'm giving this 2 stars purely for the team's effort and for attempting to explore a different subject. The intention was there, but the execution didn't quite land. With a more focused script and stronger direction, the film could've been much more impactful. Hope to see more refined work from this team in the future.

Time waste and the concept was too poor

The movie was total wastage of time I recommend everyone to avoid watching it the storyline was boring and it was going off track and the acting was also poor they should have worked more on it. I went to enjoy with my family but it was a regretful decision. The story was so irrelevant that I had fight with my family at home for going to watch it. You can watch the podcasts of Hardeep Grewal, he had insulted about Punjabis and in this movie also he has done the same thing in this movie so this is so offensive in my perspective. Although he had worked hard but defaming others is also a cheap thing to do. I guess he played with people's emotions by gaining sympathy.

Not worth watching - story is not related to title

Just saw the movie in Cineplex, Canada.

I am big fan of Hardeep grewal but this movie is not what Six Each - title tells.

It's totally a different story line, nothing to do with Ielts and Canada marriage cases.

They are promoting the show saying it sometime related to that marriage cases thing

2nd thing Mandy Thakar is shown as Student on Marriage base but looks like 40 year old aunty, doesn't suit with the character not at all. We will feel like she should not have done that roll

Moreover they twisted movie too much that was not needed. Its a boring movie Again Punjabi movie not standing up to the mark.

Avoid watching save your money and time.

One sided climax

Initially skeptical about this movie due to its seemingly one-sided storyline, I was surprised to find that my doubts were confirmed after watching it. The film's climax felt forced and tailored to appease traditional Indian cultural sentiments, particularly the portrayal of boys being favored over girls despite their behavior. The narrative reinforced stereotypes about women's roles and sacrifices, which I believe is regressive. As a man, I think it's essential to promote equal rights for women. The movie's advertisement promised a righteous climax, but it felt like a superficial attempt to cater to audience expectations rather than a genuine exploration of the issue. Overall, the film's biased perspective and lack of nuance were disappointing.
