This movie is a must see. It's a pitty there were only two viewings at the cinema in St. Lucia. This is an awesome promotion for St. Lucia. The characters are simply amazing. Really love the storyline. It is wonderful to see an amazing display of talents and skills coming out of St. Lucia. The production team has done an amazing job capturing hidden Gems in St. Lucia.

Many times the turmoil men go through are not explored. This movie has clearly encapsulate the struggles a man goes through after suffering from grief and loss and he journey through it coming to a place of acceptance and living his best life yet.

Please bring it back!!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed it! The sceneries like you captured the beauty of stlucia for a moment I forgot the movie was filmed in stlucia, the story line this movie really brought to life what men don't talk about and how they internalize their pain and it shows up in behaviors that may show up as disrespect that was so real, the small therapy sessions where words of wisdom was given it was well balanced entertaining, relatable,teachable, funny and my favorite part scenic

One thing that stood out to me was the way women were portrayed in the movie, soft and feminine while still the ones taking action; planning dates, messaging first, being apologetic and these behaviors were able to highlight the softer side in men. I'm not sure if this was the director's intention, but these particular moments struck a deep philosophical chord in me

With that said GO watch this movie!! St. Lucian's really be showing the world that a 150k population doesn't stop us and I love that!! Proud Lucian moment.

PLOT: The storyline was genuinely impressive-realistic and emotionally resonant. It's refreshing (and frankly, overdue) to see a film explore men's mental health with such sincerity. Too often, society pushes men to suffer in silence with harmful phrases like "toughen up" or "boys don't cry." Heartfall challenges that narrative by embracing vulnerability, and for that alone, it deserves high praise.

DIALOGUE: The dialogue was solid overall, though it had its moments of awkwardness. While the local flavour was appreciated, some lines could use refining. One standout issue was the overuse of names in conversation-"Adam this" and "Kate that" happened far too frequently. In everyday speech, we rarely use each other's names that much, especially in casual conversations.

ACTING: There were definitely noticeable flaws here. Some facial expressions and character traits came across as forced or exaggerated. It's clear that the cast would benefit from more training and development. With proper support-from the government or private sector-our local talent could truly thrive. There's potential here, and Heartfall proves it.

CINEMATOGRAPHY: Absolutely breathtaking. I once said I wanted to see Saint Lucia through the eyes of a visitor to truly appreciate its beauty-Heartfall delivered on that wish. The visuals were stunning and will undoubtedly serve as a strong marketing tool for the island. After this gains international attention, I wouldn't be surprised if more production companies take interest.

EDITING: The pacing was mostly good, but a few scenes dragged unnecessarily-like watching Adam walk to the supermarket for what felt like 20 seconds straight. Also, while the drone shots were beautiful, they were slightly overused. A little restraint would have made them more impactful. Still, the overall effects and flow were commendable.

DIRECTING: The vision was clear, and the execution was strong. The director clearly knew what he wanted and guided the actors well. It's evident that thoughtful direction played a major role in pulling the project together.

Rating: 9/10

SOUNDTRACK: Outstanding. The music elevated the emotional depth of the scenes and was perfectly matched throughout. Knowing that one of the featured songs is local made it even more special.

Final Thoughts: Heartfall marks a significant step forward for Saint Lucia's film industry. If Artlas Studios continues along this path, the only direction is up. And special recognition must go to the driving force behind it all- Elijah N. Anatole. His work deserves applause.

The newly released Heartfall tells the touching yet relatable story of a man grieving the loss of his wife.

As a husband and father, he struggles to live & enjoy life -even connect with his daughter, confronting the unspoken emotional walls that make expressing grief so profoundly challenging.

Heartfall shows us that memories of our loved ones can wash over us in overwhelming waves, catching us off guard in the most unexpected moments. Whether it's a familiar scene that evokes a flood of emotions, a conversation with a friend, or even a fleeting dream, the smallest reminders, both joyful and painful can surface at any time, as was shown in Heartfall.

The impactful scene with Dr King shows the root of these challenges lies in navigating a world that no longer includes our loved one. King described bereavement as a transition, a profound shift requiring adaptation to a new reality. This is poignantly illustrated in Heartfall.

The movie ends with Adam meeting a new friend. It's a symbol of hope, a reminder that moving forward is possible because rewriting loss does not have to be a solitary journey.

Saint Lucia's breathtaking landscapes were showcased in a big way. The high quality displayed in this local film was amazing. The movie truly highlighted the struggles of men as they tend to bottle up emotions as they try to deal with them on their own. All men should go to watch this to take note of how to deal with traumatic situations. All women should watch this to understand masculine struggles and discover how to empathize with them.

The government should really use this movie as a marketing peace to showcase the beautiful landscapes that we have down here. It will surely bringing many visitors to this country to experience for themselves what beautiful sceneries we have.

The movie also shows the man being a victim of suicide trying to deal with the loss of his wife. It also shows him doing his best to integrate himself into a normal way of life in the midst of dealing with the loss. His female friend truly tries to help him by allowing him to forget the grief that he is going through.
