Who Saw the Peacock Dance in the Jungle?

From the first episode, the plot grips you with the main character, Komugi, finding out a clue to her father's death. As she follows each clue leading to another clue, she slowly uncovers the truth, leading to a satisfying conclusion at the end of the series.

I particularly like the pacing of the series, with suspense and uncovered clues leading you to want to know what comes next. Classified as a "slow burn", it stays true to its classification with shiver-inducing uncovered truths. At the same time, there's light-hearted banter between the Komugi and the other main character, Matsukaze, which serve to ease up the tension at times.

Another interesting aspect to the series is how characters are developed with a backstory accompanying most of the supporting characters. Some of the character development felt rushed at times, but that might be because of time restrictions in the production. Overall, great watch and hope they produce more series like this in the future.

A lot mixed bag emotions in this one but it is good, give a chance 7.5 is my rating.

It's a slow burner but it remains interesting. Set in the backdrop of the Tokyo prefectures and includes characters such as corrupt police, high powered lawyers and some innocent ones too

Was skeptical that there was not enough ratings so I had nothing to watch one night and gave it a go, thoroughly enjoyed it

All in all a 7.5 from me, you would think IMDb would be a bit more accurate with their star ratings allowing for a true rating.

I like the plot, interesting side characters, very nice Tokio places no so popular. I am intrigued by the relationship between the young lawyer and the main character, many options and emotions. Furthermore, the metaphor of the peacock in the jungle, placing each character from his or her perspective, is attractive in order to approach the nature of each one. The way the daughter's character navigates the intriguing path alongside complete strangers adds sustained exicement to the story.

But only 9 charpters in Netflix not enough.... I wait for the rest to guide the viewer to the end, whether conclusive or not.
