If you like other Mortal Kombat short movies/films such as Mortal Kombat Rebirth you will definitely enjoy this one. The fight scenes are awesome, the story is pretty good, and the depiction of the characters is outstanding. Kenshi and Kitana look exactly like their video game counterparts. Their costumes are great and they make a really good team. There are obviously a few issues such as mediocre special effects and a smaller budget (it's not a feature film or anything). Despite this, it still manages to be a great short film. If you are a fan of the franchise, taking 10 minutes to watch this will be worth it.
It's one of the best short films for Mortal Kombat that I have seen. It reminds me of the first time I watched Mortal Kombat: Rebirth. The story is good and the fight scenes are pretty good too. Kenshi is played really well by Noah Fleder and the same goes for Emily Meis portrayal of Kitana. The special effects are not bad for a lower budget production and the costume design is phenomenal. Overall it's a great watch. I do hope that they make more of them in the future. I think this film deserves more attention and didn't get the amount of views it deserves. More people should check it out and hopefully there will be more in the future.
This is an awesome short film created by Noah Fleder, who plays the motion capture and model of Kenshi in the video games. He stars alongside Emily Mei who plays Kitana. It's an awesome short film for Mortal Kombat fans to watch. The story of the film is simple but easy to follow and interesting. The fight scenes are very well done and the Special effects are quite good for a short film. Additionally, Kenshi and Kitanas costumes are done amazingly and the actors look identical to their game counterparts. Noah Fleder plays a great Kenshi and Emily Mei plays a great Kitana. It's a short film that is definitely worth checking out for Mortal Kombat fans.
I really enjoyed this short film. As a Mortal Kombat fan seeing favorites like Kenshi and Kitana brought to life is awesome. Noah Fleder plays Kenshi so well that it seems he was born for the role. It makes sense given he plays Kenshi in Mortal Kombat 1. Additionally, Emily Mei does a very good job as Kitana. Both of their outfits are spot on and they look exactly like they do in the video game. Together, Kenshi and Kitana make a really good team in the film. I hope that they decide to do some more of these live action short films. If they do, I hope they add some more characters while expanding on Kenshis and Kitanas storyline.
I still believe that Mortal Kombat Rebirth (and technically legacy) take the top spot for short films and fan made content, but this is easily next to them as a great short film for Mortal Kombat. The fight scenes are better than Rebirth and legacy and so are the special effects and character costumes, but I didn't enjoy the plot as much. Kitana and Kenshi are both potrayed amazingly and have awesome outfits. They work well as partners and both of them look like their counterparts. Noah Fleder actually played Kenshi in Mortal Kombat 1 so it makes sense he would fit the role. Emily Mei does a great job as Kitana too.
