Feelgood movie at the beach

Honestly, considering this is a recent netflix production with a rather unknown cast, I was pleasantly surprised. Especially because the movie gets better once you get through the beginning in the church and the "honeymoon" begins. There are some lightweight yet important principles that the viewer can take into the personal life. The dialogues are okay, at least not vulgar like other recent Netflix productions that include well-known actors like Reese Witherspoon and that frankly led to a movie much worse than this one. This movie here comes with nice scenery, few twists in the story and with a few giggles here and there. If you dont expect much more than that then you should give this one a chance. I'm glad that I did after other recent big name disappointments.

Love, faith and a Holiday that goes wild

The rating is exactly what this movie is, slightly fun but generic comedy, that feels flat at times, but is also a mixed of emotions in terms of all it's ingredients.

The Honeymoon is surprisingly crashed from the get go with the supposed wife running off with another man. The whole movie is about him trying to move on, feeling ashamed and pitifull for most of the film, and it really connects with the feelings and the situation that he himself has been Put-in.

The Movie is fine, the Comedy is decent, the romance is under-developed but works well with the other women, and the story is slightly relatable. However, the Movie is average and no more-no less. It's nothing particularly special, however it'll keep you entertained.

I rate this a 5 Because the feelings and emotions are great throughout, however the story is nothing spectacular.

Good fun

A feel-good Sunday evening movie. Lucas gets left at the altar and lands up going on his honeymoon with his mum. They pretend to be a married couple so they can get the honeymoon villa. I thought it was going to be a romantic comedy, where Lucas meets a girl in Mauritius, but it turned out to be a beautiful mother and son flick. Yes, there are some silly moments that are worthy of an Adam Sandler movie, but the story is sincere, the setting is beautiful, the acting is lovely, and you end up with a smile on your face. Enjoy the film for what it is, do not expect too much. Sunday evenings are depressing, and this was the perfect watch before the start of a new week.

not bad! a dra-medy from françe

With rossy de palma in the cast, i thought for sure this was going to be an almodovar film! It's a silly "dra-medy" but nowhere near as clever as an almodovar film. When his bride walks out, lucas goes on the honeymoon anyway. With someone else. And that's our premise. Because they aren't really husband and wife, but they are in the honeymoon suite, there's misunderstanding after misunderstanding. Like one long episode of three's company. Will they ever straighten everything out? It's okay. Some light humor here and there, but pretty serious for the most part. You may recognize michèle laroque as lily... she was in the closet, back in 2001. It's not bad. Showing on the netflix! Directed by nicolas cuche. Has won some film fest awards.

Weird yet Beautiful to Watch...

A decent watch for those people who loves to watch some Dark Humorous movies with some unique concept and good execution. Firstly it might feel bit weird but suddenly you will feel the enjoyment at certain scenes. I will call it a decent One time watchable movie.

The storyline feels fresh and some uniqueness was definitely present there in the plot. The Acting performances of both Mom and Son was quite good. Other supporting characters also played their parts beautifully. Movie was really about Self Exploration and rejuvenation of self lifestyle.

Locations were definitely good and Screenplay was totally Fast paced. Color grading while Editing was also perfectly blended according to the locations and the Scenes.

Overall a decent One time watch movie. Although it's content is bit weird to discuss yet you can watch it with Family but beware of some awkward Bikini Scenes and Body Lotions and Of course a detailed Kissing Scene! Anyway, from my side ; it will be 6 Out of 10 Stars for it..

Light themed Movie

The movie starts with an unpredictable moment, which initially piqued my curiosity. However, the beginning felt a bit slow and somewhat dull, making it hard to stay engaged. Fortunately, the middle of the story picked up, bringing more excitement and making the film enjoyable.

Despite its strengths, I noticed some plot holes. For example, when Maya mentioned that Peter cheats on tourists with his boat, the movie never provided any further explanation, leaving that detail unresolved.

One of my favorite moments was near the end when Lucas began to understand his mother better. His heartfelt confession to her was deeply touching, making it one of the most emotional and memorable scenes in the film.

We have great French comedies, but this feels American

It's heavy, cringe, pipi caca, overall hard to watch.

We have great French comedies, but this is not it.

I feel like I'm watching one of those cringe American comedies with Will Ferrell, maybe even worse.

Michèle Laroque and Kad Merad have been in great subtle French humor comedy, but I don't know why they agreed to this story.

If you want some great French comedies, try Les Bronzés, Les Ch'tis, Le plus beau métier du monde, La cité de la peur, Camping. Mais qui a tué Pamela Rose ?

At least we get to see beautiful landscapes. But maybe it teaches you a lesson: if you want love to last, you gotta work for it.

Mauritius, what else!

Hello,

I'm not fond of French movies, except their comedies, the best of all being those of Louis de Funes, no one can beat them.

This one is more than average, and it succeeds where "Serenity" failed, it brought justice to the wonderful island (my homeland) of Mauritius.

Watch it, you deserve it, it deserves you and we know it's for your good.

Michel Laroque and Kal Merad do not need to be introduced, they are among the best French actors, but the new ones and the first time, mostly for local actors are quite good and the cameos are nice additions while a bit cliché, serve their purpose.

Enjoy!

waste of time

No storyline and wasted 1 hour and 33 minutes of my life. Would not recommend unless you're a weirdo then be my guest. Also the director needs help for the story line because what the hell was that?! No hate to any of the actors but are you not embarrassed that's really embarrassing 👍🏽 Whoever said this storyline was brilliant needs to stop lying and being a yes man. This movie did not shock me in a good way but more in a second hand embarrassment way. The only things i liked in this movie was the ten seconds of f1 and the ending so i didnt have to watch anymore of that cringe. We also didn't have to see the man having diarrhoea because of the water 👍🏽

Really funny movie.

This movie seems like an original story to me. A lot of laughs, great location and excellent casting. It was filmed in one of the most beautiful locations in Mauritius, east Africa which seems like a perfect place to visit after watching this movie. It would be more perfect if the stunningly sexy Margot Bancilhon was living there & greated everyone on arrival(Camber of Commerce take note). This was a really fun movie to watch and it was just released on Netflix and is well worth watching. Great character development as well. We will be recommending it to everyone we know. Good for teenagers and above.

A disastrous blend of cringe, cliché, and misguided comedy.

In my opinion, Honeymoon Crasher feels like a cheap, watered-down copy of the far better Spanish film Mother's Love. Same concept, but none of the charm, wit, or emotional depth. This one grotesquely awkward premise never pays off, jokes fizzle before they start, and the emotional arc feels like a tacked-on afterthought. Maybe the tropical vistas of Mauritius on screen look pretty-but frankly, there are far better ways to waste 90 minutes of your life. Total miss. Watch Mother's Love instead.

N/A

Honeymoon Crasher is a French comedy that rehashes familiar tropes with a surprising dose of heart and humor, exploring family bonds in the face of heartbreak, though it remains unoriginal.

Honeymoon Crasher is stupid and silly, but it has its heart in the right place.

Finally a good mother and son movie

I think Honeymoon Crasher is a wonderful movie. The storyline was well put together, and the relationship between the mother and son felt very authentic, in my opinion. I personally have a very good relationship with my mother, so this movie definitely touched my soul. I loved it, and I hope the movie industry makes more films about mothers.

One of the things that stood out to me the most was how well the characters were developed. Both the mother and son had such depth, making it easy to empathize with their struggles, joys, and personal growth. The mother-son bond, in particular, was depicted beautifully, filled with heartfelt moments, humor, and emotional depth. It was refreshing to see a film that highlights the unconditional love and sacrifices a mother makes for her child. FANTASTIC!

Enjoyable movie

Honeymoon crashes was an easy watch.

Surprisingly I enjoyed this one. It was just a fun and relaxing movie to watch.

Loved the mother/son relationship. It tackled issues in a funny way.

The views of Mauritius were absolutely stunning. Never thought of Mauritius as a honeymoon destination but now It's definitely on my to visit/honeymoon list.

Loved the fun colorful and tropical vibes. The actress who played the mother was absolutely stunning. Loved all the outfits she wore in the movie.

All the other actors did a wonderful job as well.

I would definitely recommend this movie. 🎥 didnt want it to end.

Funny movie, excellent location

A light and easygoing rom-com that doesn't try to be anything more than it is-and that's exactly why it works. The story is fun, the humor lands well (I laughed a lot!), and the beautiful locations make it a pleasure to watch. I also appreciated that the film avoided forcing certain clichés in the ending, making the story feel more satisfying. Sure, it's not flawless, but it delivers exactly what it promises: 90 minutes of pure entertainment and good vibes. An 8/10 for me, far better than the unfair 5.5 average. Some films don't need to be "better"-they just need to be fun, and this one absolutely is.
