Trying to keep his perversions a secret, a necrophiliac attempting to carry out the whims of his darkest desires on the bodies of others which he uses for his perverse feelings which only continue to deteriorate his mind as he searches for the part of his life he can't live without.
Overall, this was a fantastic sequel with a lot to like about it. Much like the original, this one goes to great lengths to portray a wholly accurate and disturbing mindset with an amazing bit of depth and focus. Carrying on the same warped and demented approach as before with the ability to tap into the area of the mind forcing that to happen while remaining tied to the attraction of other dead bodies that he either stumbles across or kills to prevent the secret getting out makes everything feel quite organic and natural for this type of situation. With the interactions that come about involving his love and affection for his dead mother that are visibly explored with demented rituals that he carries out with her body even though he continues his exploits with living people and keeps them hostage, the desire and lust for dead bodies can be felt as a means of attempted to establish his love for his mother he can no longer express to others. This allows the film to carry out a similar series of gruesome and somewhat explicit sequences with a cold, calculating realness that's somewhat hard to get through at points. The opening ritual involving the unfortunate victim who discovers his secret life and becomes a casualty with the graphic dismemberment and concurrent sexual antics that are featured throughout here including the nauseating idea of his decaying body producing sore and open wounds trough which maggots and other insects crawl out of his body and into the discharged liquids. That continues on with the other graphic sequences throughout here, where no matter how often the idea of a normal relationship may seem with others the idea of returning to the dead and rotting bodies strewn around the house that produce a nauseating amount of decayed body parts, seeping wounds, and leaked fluids to go alongside the disturbing amount of full-frontal nudity on display.
If the film were to have a flaw, it's the final fifteen minutes that seems to come from another film entirely merely to try creating a finish here than the one it set out to accomplish. Leaving the house and creating a stalking scene where he targets another couple and tries to include them in his activities which ends up going nowhere through the completely random nature of their appearance and then immediate dismissal moments later as if they were included merely to add an extra body to dismantle. This works far better with the interactions involving the figure coming back that should've been the ending here rather than a pointless bit about the confrontation and stalking of the new random couple we don't need to see play out as we've gotten an idea of the depravity he's reached. That is another issue where it's so confrontational and relaxed with the sleaze and depravity that there's the potential for tolerance issues to be had with what's going on, but for the most part it's not as big as the other drawback here.
