While I can not agree that this should be in the theater, it was fine for a B wanna-be action thriller. While the writers show a profound disconnect between current political realities, it has been amusing. If you need a good background move or just need something mind numbing this is good.
What really nauseated me was the religious connections made about the main characters, it seems obvious that parts were intentionally cut not to irritate the current religious right. Sadly this is a rather ignorant way of writing, that being said, conservative extremists survivalist types find this movie great.
Acting started good, 30 minutes in it got way worse. I think what bugs me the most is that no one seems to know how actual military personnel act.
There were soooo many technical holes, writing holes, direction holes, I could not list them all here, artistic direction was very low par too. I strongly suspect that this movie had many parts cut in script revisions and the editing room floor.
Generally the cliché laden dialog, technical writing problems, and absurdest understanding of world politics, killed this movie. The cg effects were OK, foley and muzzle flash syncing was bad, just bad, as one other reviewer put it "1980's quality"

This movie is laughable at best. Everything about it is atrocious. From the "elite soldiers" who can't properly aim a gun and shoot, to the awful flashing bullets and the "blood" which resembles red powder being thrown at them.
All the actors in this movie seem to lack any basic human instinct as they do not react when there is someone emptying a magazine in their general vicinity as the bullets rarely hit. It is comedic when in the middle of a gun fight, a person runs up to the soldier, stabs him in the throat and doesn't get shot immediately by the soldier right behind him.
A group of high school kids could make a better movie than this.
Now if you want a movie for pure entertainment and comedy because of the train wreck this movie is, I'd rate it a solid 8

Oh dear. Oh dear, oh dear.... oh fkn dear! Review is too short? O. K. According to dermatologists, the best way to remove belly button lint is to routinely clean your belly button when you bathe. Warm, soapy water should dislodge the fluff.

The cover soldier and all the soldiers are wearing a Noob Saibot (Mortal Kombat) airsoft mask. If that doesn't tell you how bad this movie is, i don't know what will. Anyways, my review is too short, so i shall now share who Noob Saibot is.
"Noob Saibot is a fictional character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game franchise by Midway Games and NetherRealm Studios. Initially introduced as a black silhouette of the series' other male ninjas and sharing their special moves, he was given his own unique movement style and appearance in later games. His name is derived from the surnames of Mortal Kombat creators Ed Boon and John Tobias spelled backwards."

This movie is also called Military State; and is streamed on Tubi. It is very similar to The Humanity Bureau; and some parts of A Handmaid's Tale. The Eraser Team is a little embarrassing; in their off-the-shelf masks, and goofy armored suits. It was a little disturbing to meet the rebel team, only to see them all get butchered in the next few scenes. But truth, justice and the America Way won out over evil oppressiveness and stuff. Gets five stars.

8.1 of 10. The film's summary doesn't really do it justice or capture the film adequately. Part of the reason is that it's clearly lacking the big production and marketing money. That's noticed in the video FX to some extent, but not the cheap stuff you get off a TV quickie. It still very much deserves to be in theaters.
In addition to focusing more on the combat and people doing the combat more than the technology versus District 9 (2009), it's also a modern-day, this-could-be-happening-now war film. There's virtually nothing in this that doesn't already exist and the world is essentially as-is except for being at war. The similarities are sometimes scary in the closeness and the deliberate, unambiguous way they are pointed out in the film.
What's missing is, as mentioned, some more realistic video FX and also some of the subtlety and plot setup done in films with more writers and development time. There are also a few unnecessary clichés, like ridiculous gun fights involving soldiers with automatic, armor piercing weapons and normal people where no one is getting hit and bullets are all but infinite. Despite the budget, the cast is well selected and comes through with solid acting.

Drops the ball in several areas. The first was the obviously "canned music". Some of the cast came off no better than that of a high school play. Well choreographed and cinematography, it moved along nicely in spite of what must have been a small budget. That, I believe was the downfall. I'll take a science fiction "B" movie over a romantic comedy any day.The best I can say is that in spite of shortcomings, I watched it to the end. Given more time, better casting, and an original sound track and it would have had my vote of 8.5 rather than 6. This movie had to have been well written as a short novel. As a film, it's subject the those shortcomings mentioned. Worth watching? Yes, in a pinch.

Well I was disappointed that there is no review for this wonderful film, so I took it on myself to write one. I'm going to mention some of the (very relevant and current) themes that I think are going on in this film, so that I help you judge whether it's worth your time or not:
Graphics, sound, action, acting and dialogue, the film is above average, so I think the deciding factor for whether you'll like it or not is whether you enjoy the above themes.
- Enforcer turned rebel (akin to the film/book Cloud Atlas)
- Modern warfare tech: mass government surveillance, drones, exoskeletons, mass incarceration, corporate mercenaries
- Notion of terrorism expanded to include potentially everyone
- Manhunt of rebels in the woods
Graphics, sound, action, acting and dialogue, the film is above average, so I think the deciding factor for whether you'll like it or not is whether you enjoy the above themes.

Bad acting, poor special effects, awful dialog..... but I liked it. With a bigger budget and better actors it could have been better, but I have seen a lot worse. I give it a ten just to annoy all the naysayers that think they are god's gift to film critics.
The actual storyline could be closer to the truth than a lot realise judging by what is going on in America today.

Get idea but needs investors. I think they did well with the budget given to them. Being able to film and change scenes with the amount of actors involved - good job.
