New York Post Presents: Luigi Mangione Monster or Martyr?

I'm not very acquainted with the New York Post. A quick look at a media bias chart aligns them center-right with the likes of Fox Business and WSJ, a fact that quickly becomes apparent during the runtime of this documentary.

In my opinion, a good documentary presents facts objectively and allows viewers to come to their own conclusions. The tone of this documentary is dominated by voices of the status-quo, and the reporters at NYP want you to know that they do not come close to siding with Luigi Mangione's ideology. This urge to wash their hands of culpability, along with a palpable rush to get this project out before its subject matter loses relevance leaves this documentary feeling sensationalized and undermines a lot of the journalistic integrity it could have had.

To its credit, this film does provide a deep dive into Mangione's personal life and potential motivations. Viewers should not expect a discussion about ethics, morality, nor how a killing of this nature sparked a discussion of class consciousness among USA's working population.
