Okay, tbh at first I kinda underestimated this film. Indonesian romance movies don't usually click with me (some do, but very few). But this one? Totally surprised me.
The story isn't basic, it's fresh and emotional. And the acting? CRAZY. Sore and Jo delivered their roles with so much depth, it felt real. I was literally just sitting and watching, but ended up feeling drained-and that says A LOT about how powerful their performances were. Sore especially... she carried the whole thing effortlessly. I'm not even exaggerating when I say this film is a masterpiece.
If you're still unsure about watching it, just do it. Trust me.
The version of you before watching and after watching this movie won't be the same.

This movie is a masterpiece by Yandy Laurens, surpassing all his previous works. Every scene feels like a painting crafted with heart, emotion, and soul. The story holds deep meaning and is filled with mysteries throughout, with plot points slowly unfolding one by one until it reaches a breathtaking climax. This isn't just a movie, it's a true masterpiece.
Now let's talk about the cinematography. Well, this is Yandy Laurens, your expectations won't be let down here. The acting? I could feel every emotion from all the actors. It's backed by a strong plot that's both complex and engaging to watch. And the choice of songs, the background music, it all fits the movie perfectly.
Maybe there's just one flaw, especially from a general audience's perspective. The beginning feels slow, and it might make you go, "What is this even about?" That actually happened when I watched it in the theater, the person sitting next to me was more focused on their phone than the movie. So yeah, this movie might not be for everyone. But for me, this is a true masterpiece.

I'm honestly so amazed by Yandy's work in Sore: Istri dari Masa Depan. The storyline and plot are brilliantly crafted - full of unexpected twists that keep you hooked from start to finish. Sheila Dara and Dion Wiyoko's performances were absolutely top-notch; their chemistry felt so real and emotionally gripping.
And the ending? So satisfying. It left me feeling genuinely relieved and fulfilled. This film truly deserves millions of viewers - it's the kind of movie everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. So, so good.
Also... I was really moved by Sore's line: "Even if I had to repeat it a thousand times, I'd still choose you." UGH. That hit me right in the heart.

Basically romance movie is not my favorite along side with horror genre. I had watched Sore due to its hype and good review by the people. Eventhoughly I haven't watched the web series version.
I have seen a lot of movies in my entire life. Sore is the magical one, resonance with the heart to planting a complex deep feeling : longing, acceptance, sadness, happiness at the same time. Those feeling is lasting after the credit. Eventually I don't remember which movie that I have watched which gives the same depth, layered feeling like Sore.
Very recommended. Watch it with the open mind and heart. Sore is the definitely 1 of 10 best movie (globally) I have ever watched in my life.
PS : my top 3 movies are Interstellar, darknight, inception
Solid 8.8/10.

With a heartfelt story and emotional depth, it leaves a lasting mark on the heart. It reminds us that only we can change ourselves, not our partners. What's meant for you will always find its way; that's destiny.
Sore: Istri dari Masa Depan beautifully captures how destiny and time work hand in hand in our lives. Destiny helps us meet the right people, while time allows us to feel the weight of separation, creating space for longing, appreciation, and gratitude. There are moments filled with sadness as the cycle repeats, but also a quiet thankfulness: at least, she still gets to see him.
Sheila Dara and Dion Wiyoko deliver remarkable performances, filled with honesty and emotion. Their chemistry feels natural, and their acting brings every scene to life.
The cinematography is stunning, soft, poetic, and visually rich, like the meaning of sore itself. The calm and emotional soundtrack enhances every moment, pulling you deeper into the story.
And of course, Yandy Laurens never fails to amaze. With every work, he crafts stories that feel close to home yet full of wonder. This film is no exception - once again, he delivers something unforgettable.
Everyone should watch Sore: Istri dari Masa Depan - it's more than just a film. It's a quiet reflection on love, time, anddestiny.
