When I stumbled upon this 2025 horror movie and seeing the cover, my first initial thought was a blatant rip-off of the "M3GAN" movie. I mean, a movie about an artificial being given life, whom kills people, and even the use of a number in the name of the title, it just screamed "M3GAN" rip-off.
But still, since "ROB1N" was a movie that I hadn't already seen, of course I opted to give writer and director Lawrence Fowler the benefit of the doubt.
Writer and director Lawrence Fowler put together a fair enough script. Sure, it was rather generic and formulaic in terms of homicidal artificial toys go, and there are other and older movies about killer toys out there that fared way better. That being said, I am not saying that "ROB1N" was a bad movie, because it is a watchable movie and entertaining enough movie nonetheless.
The narrative is a bit slow paced and you have to sit through 70 minutes of writer and director Lawrence Fowler establishing the story and setting the mood before things start to happen. I am sorry, by 70 minutes into the 91 minute runtime, then it was just too little, too late.
I was not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list, and that was something that spoke in favor of the movie. I do enjoy watching new and unfamiliar talents on the screen when I sit down to watch a movie. In all fairness, then the acting performances in the movie were adequate.
As a seasoned horror veteran then I found "ROB1N" to be a mere walk in the park. But I suppose that newcomers to the horror genre will get a much bigger kick out of watching this 2025 movie than I did.
Clearly "ROB1N" didn't have the same budget as the movie "M3GAN" did, and thus don't expect a grand spectacle of effects here. I will say, though, that I actually found the effects in "ROB1N" to be fair enough, and the robot was actually well enough made. And the few effects that were in the movie were certainly adequate enough.
This is hardly a movie that warrants more than a single viewing.
My rating of writer and director Lawrence Fowler's 2025 movie "ROB1N" lands on a generous four out of ten stars.

Dont look at it as other media like dolls and stuff just think about it as Pinochio gone wrong and it becomes a good movie with a decent twist at the end ,granted it starts slow but ramps up from the middle i see the low scores and i dont get it....iv seen movies that ir worth a 1 or 2 or 4 but in general most movies ir a 6 or a 7 dont trust the reviews and watch the movie in the end you will probably enjoy it more then you think and dont go in thinking this movie is more then a b movie but in the end im shure you wont think this movie is a 1 like people gave it , i dont relly do reivews but this time i feel like i had to do it !
This movie is not what it looks like, it's a good horror movie. It may not be perfect, but it's worth the watch. The movie really did a great job with Rob1n. I don't get the negative reviews, this is a perfect date movie. It's not too scary but it will keep you entertained. Some moments were pretty scary. I don't get the negative reviews, this is a perfect date movie. It's not too scary but it will keep you entertained. Some of you movie reviewers are miserable people and hyper critique a movie. You can tell it didn't have the best actors or high budget but it did get me to the edge of my seat. 7/10.
I was really surprised how much I enjoyed this. The trailer grabbed my attention and saw some stuff about it online and decided to give it a go, but I still found it more enjoyable than I imagined going in. The kills are creative and bloody but not stupid, satisfying those that want a bit more horror than some other films out there without being cheesy. The story although perhaps a bit slow at times really kept my interest, some scenes could have perhaps been left out but you really do feel for Ayden and his desperate attempt to keep his 'boy' around, no matter the consequences.
Rob1n is a scary new addition to the killer doll scene. Recommended!

When I first found out about the movie I thought that it genuinely it was going to be a M3gan cheap knock off because of the name but when I actually watched the movie I really liked it. It had totally different storyline that M3gan.the killer wasn't very good and the killings? Meh. But in total the actors were good and the acting was believable in total good movie.
The kills in the movie weren't that great but aside from that it was good the location that it was filmed at was very beautiful and I loved the way the actors felt like they actually knew each other and they weren't forced to make the movie.i absolutely loved the acting In total I give it a 7/10.
