"Then Chennai"- A promising first film from new director Ranga. The premise of the story is nuanced and original. The combination of thriller and soft emotions were handled expertly. The film's strengths are its crisp narration and impressive cinematography.

Heroine was fresh and fit in naturally to the role. The chemistry between the lead pair was good.

The characters with negative shades were etched out well, especially the abusive character of SK.

Some twists were predictable. Few scenes could have been more engaging/ realistic.

Kudos for some honest storytelling, sans masala elements- a film that can be watched with family.

Movie was fantastic, Credits to entire team and your role very well executed I was enjoyed a lot, hero energy levels very high and introduction was awesome. Background music ultimate. Extraordinary role played for SK character, Antony and heroine did great with sarcastic roles mother role also very good and she did super timing

Security team very strongly designed fighting scenes all well executed. Hero holding the suspense the scenes behind the baby.

Heroine as best approach and designation for the role.

Film was good, my opinion is the hero action cameo scenes in the last part, is also from start of the film it will be too good to this film.

Villain is great acting. All other done their part very well.

Hero action in the film like more introvert. Atleast the reason for his sadness can be revealed before first half.

I like hero' second half cameo action. But the waiting time is high as it comes only in the end of the movie.

This movie is done by all new faces, very few faces are known faces. Only one song in the movie is way too good... get struck in mind....hero of movie ranga good show....looks very fit suits navy physique... initial navy training is stunning.

Heroine performance to be mentioned, carries her character well, villain role is written well in the story.... hero's uncle character stays in mind....

The efforts of the debutant director cum actor is well appreciated. I surely predict the hero hv good future.

Even though this is the director Ranga's debut movie, the unique style of story narration, his acting makes the movie engaging. The combination of action and family drama worked out in a great way. This movie shows the strength, passion, and family bonds and It moves at a good pace. Music directors background music is undoubtedly added strength. Editing is also good.

Excellent cinematography and color tone are remarkable strengths. This emotional drama is a must-see for families; I highly recommend it.
