Sugar Dumplin

A beautifully written and directed short that encapsulates real life situations within the black community that often gets swept under the rug . We are never prepared for the latter part of our parents lives especially when still juggling ours and this is a great depiction of that. It's a great conversation starter and a cinematic masterpiece that we should all watch together as communities.

I enjoyed every part of this film and it brought tears to my eyes and a great sense of nostalgia as im reminded of what it was like to be parented by Caribbean parents. It's a must watch and the score is amazing as well. Well done!
