It's not a bad turkish series, it just doesn't have an interesting core story. In fact, it doesn't have an overall plot. Probably because it's one of those sitcoms whose story revolves on family and its daily events and happenings, nothing else. It's either the writers cannot think of a solid story or the plan is really a per episode story, nothing much for the audience to be excited to hold on and wait for the next episode, no cliffhangers at the end of each episode. Also, though it's a situational comedy skit, nothing hilarious, very few funny moments. I'm not even interested watching the ML and FL - Mahir and Canfeza - aside from there isn't a connection between the two, they're boring. The love triangle of Ferman, Efsane and Sevda is a lot more interesting to watch. They're funny. Watch it if you're into sitcoms.

"Ber Gece Masali" swept me off my feet from the very first scene. It's rare to find a drama that reaches so deep into your heart, but this one did - effortlessly. I found myself tearing up almost instantly, pulled into a story so beautifully told that I couldn't look away.
Initially, I started watching just for Burak Deniz, who has always been one of my favorite actors. But soon enough, it wasn't just about him - I fell completely in love with the entire story, the characters, and the undeniable chemistry between them. Every emotion felt raw and real, every moment so authentic that it almost felt like I was living it alongside them.
What touched me even more was how the show made me feel connected to a whole culture - its traditions, its spirit, its beauty. "Ber Gece Masali" isn't just a love story; it's an experience that stays with you long after the final scene.

I started watching this series purely for Burak Deniz - except his cuteness there is nothing to make the story move forward from the 3 rd episode onwards - week after week - I am waiting to see if there will be something in the story to push but I am disappointed to find the 2024 series - police commissioner story not adding to the plot.
Burak is doing a fantastic job but the story writter needs to make it more interesting.
Burak' s friend character Salih also looks good and doing a good job.
Hope the series improves to sustain rating.
Locales are very nice n eye catching.
Bam Baska biri is good reference - hope to expect better content.
All the Best.

Bir Gece Masali has a special atmosphere. The story progresses quickly, the music is haunting, the cinematography is beautiful and the acting of the main heroes and villains are excellent. A talented cast that gives life to a common story. There is many moving parts within different families, crime lords and police investigations but the heart of the show is the forbidden love story of Mahir and Canfeza. Su Burcu Yazgi might be young but she is a dynamite performer as she is beautiful, a perfect partner for the super talented veteran actor that is Burak Deniz. Dare I say it his best partner. Especially in drama scenes. Also for this series to work you have to believe in the love story and the chemistry is so apparent that you actually do. An incredible harmony achieved in a short amount of time.
I'm writing this review after deciding I can't continue the series after episode 5. I would have stopped earlier but stayed on because I'm a fan of Burak Deniz. The things I like about the series is Burak's professional acting and the beautiful landscape. I like Su Burcu Coskun when she acted in Kardeslerim but I am just not getting her character in this series. Maybe it's because there no chemistry at all between her and Burak (I was wondering whether it's the age gap factor). Her acting is very earnest here. There are quite a number of side characters here as members of 3 families are introduced and also the bad guys. The thing is none of the side characters except for Mahir's police friend and Canfessa's girlfriend seem likeable and interesting. The plot is a mixture of revenge, honor marriage customs, family drama and betrayals. I realized that I could only finish episode 5 by fast forwarding a lot of- even romantic scenes between the ML and FL. It's just not worth my time anymore.
