Prior to the streaming series, Percy Jackson was adapted into two films starring Logan Lerman as the title character. Riordan revived the onscreen tale with Disney+, though, which dropped its first season in 2023.

I love seeing an openly gay creator succeed in Hollywood. Not long ago, that was nearly impossible. Daphne Keen might have been promoting her upcoming horror film, Whistle, at San Diego Comic-Con 2025,but she couldn't resist reminiscing about the character she promoted at 2024's event - Deadpool & Wolverine's X-23.

In an interview with Cbr's Sean O'Connell, the actor talked about one of the highlights of 2024, which was meeting another X-23 in the wild. But it wasn't a multiversal variant. It was just someone in a Halloween costume. "I randomly went to a Halloween party like last year, and someone was dressed as X-23," Keen shared. "It was really cool... I'd never seen it out in the wild."

"I'd seen [cosplay] at, like, at conventions and online and stuff, but seeing it in person at like a random friend's party, I was like, 'Wow, this it's this is... like, this has reach!'" Keene continued. Hopefully not too much reach, considering X-23's clawed nature.
