Mythic Quest is an absolute phenomenon.
Across episodes, you get interesting character developments, a manageable plot with entertaining fillers - and then there's that one episode in every season that takes something out of the ordinary, wants to be creative and creates something very special away from the actual storyline.
After A Dark Quite Death, Backstory! And Sarian, the writing team once again manages to conjure up something very special on screen, only this time with the main characters themselves and with consequences for the series as a whole.
Not only is the acting once again outstanding, which is essential for the course of the episode, but the setting, the vague playbook and the idea of what they want to tell here is also incredibly well conveyed.
This is how you have to approach the subject, stage it and let it unfold.
Once again, the series surprises.
