The show was cute and had a lot of potential but the judges are beyond annoying and they chose a winner clearly based on his looks versus who actually deserved it based on the challenges. Jonathan Bennett was especially annoying - so cheesy and over the top that it almost made it unwatchable. We groaned every time he had anything to say.
I gave it three stars though because the guys are actually hot and a lot of the challenges were fun to watch. Some challenges were corny but hey, it's Hallmark. We watched the movie starring the winner and wow - he was so bad in it that it proved he should not have won.

I really liked this show and I really liked the concept but the co host jonathan and the fact that they picked someone who can't even act (and there were much much better options) kind of ruined the show for me tbh.
I won't tell you who won because I don't want to spoil it so you'll just have to watch it for yourself to see what I'm talking about and for the next season if there is even going to be one I hope they change out jonathan for a more likable less cheesy/cringy co host and actually pick a contestant who can actually act and isn't just eye candy. So overall I did enjoy the show and the concept but there are definitely going to have to be changes made to make it more enjoyable and watchable imho.

"Finding Mr. Christmas" appeared more as a reality entertainment show rather than a genuine competition or audition. While the extent of scripting in reality TV is often unclear, it's evident that editing plays a significant role in shaping the narrative around contestants. I found some of the editorial choices rather curious. Initially, none of the contestants stood out as particularly appealing, and the final selection seemed to align closely with traditional Hallmark values and attitudes. Certain individuals, despite excelling in the challenges and demonstrating considerable talent, were unlikely to be considered as viable winners. I suppose it is commendable that the show included a diverse group of candidates, it seemed that some individuals were primarily included to fulfill a token representation rather than being given a fair opportunity to succeed based on merit.
This is super fun, and I recommend it to Hallmark holiday movie fans. I've watched 2 episodes so far. The familiar faces of Hallmark leads pop in and out, and the challenges are very Christmassy. It's a cute concept, competing to be a male lead in a Hallmark Christmas movie. The guys are unknown, but they're all worthy of being there in different ways. There are firefights, models, ex-military guys, musical theater veterans, and guys with no experience at all. The show also gives you a peek behind the scenes by showing what's involved in a photo shoot or an acting scene. I already have a few favorites I'm rooting for.
I was fully invested in this show, but one of the other reviewers on here nailed it-many of the decisions were questionable. At first they seemed to be truly looking for the right guy. Getting rid of the one with the arrogance and gigantic ego had me cheering at the TV. Getting down to the final three was also promising, though losing one of the guys, one who was charming, handsome, and full of personality, was difficult. I still feel he should have made it through, and I'm hoping to see him in a Hallmark film in the future. In my mind there was really only one clear winner. And it's not the guy who won. Did he do a nice job with the final challenge? Yes. But someone else did it way better. Someone else had the looks, the charm, the emotion, and-most importantly-could actually act. I tried watching the movie the winner was in. No chemistry with the lead actress, one note performance, stumbling over lines, not believable at all. He looked the part but that was it. I'm hesitant to even finish the movie because he is so painful to watch. Sorry Jonathan and Melissa, but you chose poorly.
