CA topper is a story about a middle class government employee who has no choice other than becoming a male prostitute as a side project to solve his family's financial problem.
This is a fresh content with a great cast and good plot but writer missed an opportunity to give it the ending it deserved.
Story was decently paced in first half but it goes haywire in second half. The humor is good with keeping audience engaged in such scenes but extension of story takes away the charm. Action and shooting scenes were poorly written and most probably were written/directed by someone else as it lead to inconsistency. Overall a decent watch.

Despite featuring a brilliant cast and impressive cinematography, the series ultimately fell short of expectations. The creators' ambition to tackle numerous topics resulted in a convoluted narrative burdened by irrelevant sub-plots. These tangents detracted from the main storyline and made it difficult for viewers to stay engaged. Loose editing further compounded the issue, as scenes often felt disjointed and transitions were jarring.
The weak storyline was unable to support the weight of the complex themes being explored. Characters that should have been compelling were instead lost in the shuffle, their development stunted by the scattershot approach to the plot. Emotional beats that should have resonated deeply with the audience were undercut by the constant shifts in focus.
Ultimately, the series' potential was squandered. While the visual appeal and the actors' performances were commendable, these elements could not compensate for the fundamental flaws in storytelling and production. The end result was a viewing experience that was more frustrating than fulfilling, leaving viewers with a sense of what could have been rather than what was.

## CA Topper: A Quirky Ride
CA Topper is a series that takes an unexpected turn on the familiar trope of the high-achieving student. While it starts with the promise of a witty, satirical take on academic pressure, the series falters in maintaining a consistent tone. Tribhuvan Mishra, the titular character, is endearing in his awkwardness, but his journey lacks depth.
The show's comedic timing is hit-or-miss, with some genuinely funny moments interspersed with predictable gags. The supporting cast shows potential, but their characters feel underdeveloped. While the premise is intriguing, the execution feels rushed at times, leaving loose ends and unexplored storylines.
Overall, CA Topper is an enjoyable watch for those looking for a light-hearted escape, but it falls short of being truly memorable. It's a series with potential, but it needs to dig deeper into its characters and plot to reach its full potential.

Let us get this out of the way. This is a show about a male prostitute who is also married and loves his wife. There are also an insane amount of scenes - though without nudity - of him providing service to his clients.
Once you get over that, this is is absurdly funny.
Of course there is entanglement with truly unsavory characters through his work and him coping with all that and his family life without skill-set of a gangster.
What carries the show is excellent ensemble cast lead by Manav Kaul. Writing is truly imaginative where a contract killer obsesses over customer service scores and (being Jain) commits no crime after sun-set and clients recognize the promotional souvenir of the vigils in each other's hands at a hair salon. Story is predictable but the situations are not.
There are a few unnecessary characters that do not add value for screen time.
If you felt bad for Shweta Basu Prasad after "the Tashkent Files", (she worked very hard to carry a movie with such a monumental conspiracy plot but the production was so shoddy that even Mithun and Naseer could not pull it out of the rut), she has redeemed herself with "Jubilee" and now with this series. She has perhaps the most layered character in the story and shines in every frame. A bunch of actors from the beloved "Panchayay" prove that they can each be very versatile - even the pigeon guy has a small role as an elevator operator.

I believe finally after a long wait, since sacred games, the indian series worthy of netflix platform has arrived. Nuances of comedy are well showcased by the makers, unlike in one of those on your face/slapstick comedy series loitering every other platform. Every scene has the ability to make one laugh on things which would otherwise leave you terrified, guess the background score deserves the credit here. All in all, netflix has finally delivered an epic comedy series with well written dialogues and characters. Moreover, amazingly directed scenes are definitely a cherry on the cake. Gonna binge it by the end of the day, must say seldom i come across such comedy gems in indian cinema.
