Necaxa

First of all, a lot of the visuals are missed from reading all the subtitles. I know that most of those people don't speak English, so that's just going to be the way it is. I will say that I went into this expecting another great ride with a town, and team that were united. Necaxa is far from that. Most of the town doesn't seem to care, and we are shown the lifelong fans that do, in an effort to get us to buy in. I don't get the same feel good vibes from this as Wrexham, and I think it's because this show is trying too hard to copy that model, even having Rob and Ryan involved. This team is clearly in disarray, with all kinds of help needed in different areas. I hope they spend the money to turn it around, but I feel that the most important thing for them is to get the community involved more. This the major thing that separates them from Wrexham. That, and winning. These guys can't seem to get over the hump. I'll keep watching, and pulling for them, but this one is going to be a major rebuild.

The team wins a season game and Longoria speaks about the unbroken spirit and how they always fight and rise from their ashes. Calma te Patrona. You won a game, not the championship. And that happens all the time.

It's too cringy and self-important. Just be normal.

What's different with Wrexham is that most of this kind of talking and commentary is done by the actual fans and not by the team owners; and the fans speak like regular people not using words that were clearly written by writers.

They can turn the ship around if they stop treating the ups and downs as if the fate of the universe is hanging on Necaxa's shoulders.

Well Necaxa, is a new series about the titular Aguascalientes, Mexico-based soccer/football club, starring Eva Longoria, Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, the three of whom are all investors in Necaxa.
