Ana Gasteyer of Saturday Night Live fame recently recounted what happened when Sean “Diddy” Combs arrived on set as the episode’s musical guest. This came up during the comedian’s recent appearance on a podcast. She also revealed how the cast and crew poked fun at the mogul.

Gasteyer is known for appearing on Saturday Night Live from 1996 to 2002. Over the years, she has appeared in a variety of sitcoms, like Suburgatory and American Auto. She is also known for appearing in the film, Mean Girls.

This past Wednesday, Gasteyer appeared on the “Las Culturistas” podcast, which is hosted by SNL cast-member Bowen Yang and comedian Matt Rogers. While there, she discussed an appearance Diddy made back in May 1998.

Currently awaiting trial in jail, Diddy’s popularity has taken a plunge thanks to all the lawsuits and accusations against him but there was a time when the industry mogul had the world wrapped around his finger. So, when he was all set to be the musical guest on SNL in 1998, he demanded a complete closed set for his rehearsals. Unfortunately for him, Will Ferrel was not in the mood to respect Diddy’s odd wish.

Saturday Night Live alum Ana Gasteyer is telling a Sean “Diddy” Combs story.

Back when Ana was in the cast, the disgraced entertainer acted as a musical guest for the May 9, 1998 episode and demanded he have “a totally closed set” while he rehearsed.

Ana said, while appearing on Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers’ “Las Culturistas” podcast, “You can tell the five as-holes in the six years that I was there when they would be like, ‘So-and-so is in the building. Everybody stay in your dressing rooms!’ Which is applicable if you’re a presidential candidate, but apart from that, it’s really my house.”

A few writers noted Combs‘ request and instead, suggested: “Wouldn’t it be so funny if Ron just went in?” The “Ron” the writers were referring to is Will Ferrell, who was in costume as his character “Ron” from the “Mango” sketches.

Gasteyer was on “SNL” from 1996 to 2002, where she overlapped with Ferrell, Molly Shannon, Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph and others. She’s best known for being part of the “Schweddy Balls” sketch alongside Shannon and Alec Baldwin, as well as her recurring Culps skit with Ferrell.

Gasteyer told current “SNL” player Yang and Rogers that the cast at that time had several recurring bits, including one where Ferrell repurposed his Jerry Reed costume to imitate a crew member named Rob, who had recently been fired by the director of the show’s pre-taped segments. French joins the ensemble as Rossi’s wife, who becomes increasingly estranged from her husband. Ronnie Gene Blevins (Emancipation), plays his best friend, who unknowingly introduces Rossi’s character to a dark side of himself, while simultaneously facing emotional trials.

Per Deadline, it's been revealed that Hellboy actor Ron Perlman has joined the cast of the upcoming thriller Come With Me. This follows the previous casting of Theo Rossi, one of Perlman's Sons of Anarchy co-stars, in the lead role. In Sons of Anarchy, Perlman Clarence "Clay" Morrow alongside Rossi as Juan Carlos "Juice" Ortiz. The actors co-starred on the show until Clay's death in 2013, a year before the series ended its seven-season run.

Exclusive: Ron Perlman has joined the cast of Aaron Harvey’s upcoming Come With Me thriller film.

The actor will portray Dalton Kirby, a sharp radio host who influences a working-class man (Theo Rossi) with his verbal rants of fear and doom. This marks a reunion for the pair of actors, who worked together on Sons of Anarchy.

In Come With Me, Rossi’s character falls under the influence of Kirby’s diatribes, which darken the world around him. He soon run into trouble at work as a result of absorbing Kirbey’s acerbic radio rhetoric.

Come With Me recently wrapped production in Gulfport, Biloxi and Pass Christian, Mississippi. Harvey directs from a script he cowrote with Jonathan Croom. The film is also produced by Demetrius Stear, Colin Bates, Kevin Greene, and Nicholas Carmona.

Executive producers include Ryan Francis, Lance Kawas, Fadi Assaf, Michael Sirow and Javier C. Ortiz.
