An incredible look at cutting edge technology and never-before-seen wonders of the ocean. The mind-blowing cinematography and imagery will leave you in awe. Plus, who doesn't love James Cameron? A great combination of science, discovery, and storytelling. The explorer team pushes the limits of discovery, and makes me want to change careers. Our world is incredible and more people need to see it, appreciate it, and respect it. I hope they greenlight a second season.

You can tell the production team went above and beyond to pull this off -- 10/10. Give this a watch. You won't be sorry.

This series goes deeper than a surface level exploration (all the puns intended) of animal footage to the hows and whys of scientific research. You'll love this if you want more than beautiful images or a cursory overview of animal behavior and ecosystems. OceanXplorers shows the team effort that goes into advancing our collective understanding of these precious animals and environments.

It goes to show that facilitating the work of these marine biologists, divers, and tech innovators brings us novel insights into animal behavior alongside captivating footage that I'm sure will be educational for many. It was for me.

Highly recommend this series! The other reviewer complaining about the predation scenes just doesn't get it.

The mission of the scientists in each episode was different enough to keep me totally hooked each time. I learned SO much and was blown away by the amazing visuals that were caught for this series. I'm in total awe of our world, the depths of our oceans, and the magnificent creatures (big and small) that roam them and in many cases have managed to survive through so much over so many years. Very cool that James Cameron narrates it and the ship Ocean Explorer is truly outstanding in its capacities. Hammerhead Highway was my favorite episode, but I loved them all. I want my kids to watch these now!

There was no warning from them about a scene in the first episode where orcas kill a baby humpback whale and I still feel sick to my stomach and I'm really depressed and I have lost all trust in National Geographic, James Cameron, Hulu and Disney Why would they show the disgusting things like the baby humpback without any warning for sensitive viewers?

I won't watch another episode of this vile series It keeps replaying in my mind and I'm shocked, anxious and really sad, the world has become so cruel and this only proves it For shark documentaries they don't show the cruel hunting great white sharks do without a warning for sensitive viewers If they can do that with sharks they can do it for other species I used to love National Geographic and the documentaries they put out, now I just get angry when I hear about them I feel betrayed and victimized and I'm having ptsd issues that are horrible I expected better from Cameron and I don't think I can forgive him National Geographic could go bankrupt and I would celebrate at this point I want to contact them.

There's so much incredible stuff down there that they uncover in this series. I can't wait for next season.

Highlights for me were the humpback-orca predation, the bioluminescent flashback, tagging a deep sea shark and getting a whales-eye view of what it like to be a sperm whale.

The ship is an incredible ship and is almost like its own character. The Xplorers each bring their own unique perspective to the crew and James' expert narration ties it all together nicely.

It's crazy we're all so obsessed with space exploration when there's still so much out there in the deep right here on our planet.
