Hangar 10

Hangar 10 Review
Continuing their recent trend of acquisitions, IFC Midnight has tossed another found footage alien adventure into the ring with Daniel Simpson’s Hangar 10 – a monotonous effort that somehow makes Alien Abduction seem endearing, exciting, and extraterrestrially invigorating. Yet again a filmmaker experiments with shaky camera angles, choppy footage and off-camera action while supposedly creating the next great invasion thriller, dragging audiences down a disenchanted road without a modicum of entertainment in sight. Hangar 10 movie review: where has all the sci-fi gone?
Found footage has come to be an excuse for storytellers to completely bypass drama, character development, and plot in an attempt to be “authentic.” I’m “biast” (pro): been obsessed with UFO stuff since I was a kid

I’m “biast” (con): really tired of found-footage

Recently two movies toyed with my love of 20th-century UFO lore to get up my hopes for some good science fact-ion action, and then utterly failed me to the point where I began to question my own pathetic geeky anticipation: Extraterrestrial, with its alien abduction theme, and now Hangar 10,...
