Great Acting but Nonsensical Plot

Jaat had a lot of potential, especially thanks to the outstanding performance of its male lead( sunny paji) . The actor brought depth, charisma, intensity to his role, making every scene he was in compelling. Whether it was a dramatic monologue or a subtle expression, his acting was easily the best part of the film.

All police officer scared but one man beat everyone and help village really that a story. Learn something from kgf if you want that plot

Unfortunately, the story itself was a mess. The plot was confusing, poorly structured, and filled with illogical twists that seemed to exist just for shock value rather than serving a meaningful purpose. Character motivations were unclear, key events felt rushed, and by the end, I was left wondering what the point of it all was.

If you're a fan of the lead actor, it might still be worth a watch for his performance alone. But if you're looking for a well-written, coherent narrative, you'll likely be disappointed. 5.5/10 - saved by the acting, sunk by the story.

A Thunderous Ride Only for the Masses

If you're walking into Jaat expecting nuance, logic, or depth-turn around. But if you're here for sheer massy entertainment, over-the-top action, punchy dialogues, and Sunny Deol in full "dhai-kilo-ka-haath" mode, then fasten your seatbelts-this ride is for you. This is a one-time watch, especially for fans of Sunny Deol and those who revel in old-school mass masala cinema. Thaman S's background score is one of the film's biggest strengths-pumping energy into every major scene. The soundtrack, however, is forgettable and doesn't linger beyond the film.

Directed by Gopichand Malineni, who makes his Hindi debut after delivering several blockbusters in Telugu cinema, Jaat stays true to the formula that's earned him a loyal following down South: action, attitude, and adrenaline. His focused entirely on mass appeal. The story kicks off with great momentum. The first half is crackling with energy especially the "Sorry bol" sequence, which is pure whistle material. The screenplay takes a nosedive in the second half. There's a lull in the storytelling, and just when hope starts to fade, enter the Mysterious Hero. The climax is nothing short of a one-man army showdown-hundreds of bad guys, slow-motion stunts, and the hero walking out of explosions unscathed.

Sunny Deol is in his element here. With a commanding screen presence and that unmistakable thunder in his voice, he delivers a high-voltage performance that carries the film, especially when the screenplay falters. Randeep Hooda brings gravitas to the villainous role and stands tall opposite Sunny Deol. Viineet Kumar Singh slipping effortlessly into his role, he adds value without stealing focus. Regina Cassandra got a meaty role, and she did justice to that. Saiyami Kher and Jagapathi Babu are underutilised.

Direction 3.5/5 Acting 3/5 Action 3.5/5 Story 2.5/5 Screenplay 2.5/5.

Paaji's Class and Mass on Point. - itsbymayank

Jaat Review - itsbymayank

In one line - you can see how to use actors work and talent.

Start well, ends well.

No need of song to notice. Easily skippable

Action, Fighting Scenes are very nicely choreographed and met expectation.

Storyline is nicely written and directed. Writing and Direction is very well balanced.

At last wht I'm talking about Sunny Paaji, just because he keeps me engaged from start till end.

" Dhai kilo ka hath.. Pura North Dekh Chuka hai, Ab South dekhega" - is class.

Aur Haa " Sorry Bol "

PAAJI IS STILL BEST ONE FOR ACTION.

REVIEW OF JAAT - #ITSBYMAYANK MAYANK BHARAT BHUSHAN LOUTERIYA.

Old school action entertainer...

Jaat is a old style mass entertainer filled with one liners, flying action and 🔥 performance delivered by Sunny Deol and villain Randeep Hooda who also shined in his evil and unhinged performance.. After many bad Bollywood films since last few months this one turned out to be one of better.. If you are a big fan of sunny paaji and enjoyed his action films from 90s then this one will also provide you a great entertainment. There are many one epic liners and one man army action scenes in which hero destroys everything coming in his way and this is enough to keep audience entertained, accompanied by a great BGM and loud and noisy sound effects set in backdrop of evil lord ruling the land and hero comes to save innocent from his reign.. Story is straightforward there are no shocking twists and turns but it keeps audience engaged for nearly 2 and half hours with many dramatic scenes there are many desi style fight scenes from beginning to end which are whistle worthy if you love mass masala films.. Overall Jaat is an decent watch to catch on big screen only for just seeing Sunny Deol in his old action avatar...

Sunny is Incorrigible, Obstinate; Randeep Deserves Better

Which is the last movie of Sunny Deol where he did anything other shouting, yelling or beating 50 people without being hit?

Can't remember?

Don't worry. It's a difficult question anyway.

Fact is, the most stereotyped hero in the history of Hindi cinema has always been lucky to go unnoticed.

He gives one big hit every few years, and people hail him as if he is the greatest actor in the world.

Unfortunately, chest beating, fist pumping and thrashing people doesn't amount to acting.

But who will tell Sunny that?

He lives in his coccoon, and has a legion of fans who won't hear a word against their HERO.

It doesn't matter if that hero is 68, refuses to age, yet becomes uncomfortable the moment the age factor is brought into a discussion.

Here's an old guy who refuses to be anything but arrogant and stubborn.

He will defy his 68 years and hit 68 men, but dare anyone hit him even once.

Jaat is another one of those mind numbing gas that comes out of the hero's exhaust pipe.

Ziddi, Salaakhen, Zor, Champion, Farz, Gadar, Indian, Jaal, Maa Tujhe Salaam, Gadar 2... the list is endless.

Yet people worship this nepo kid, and that gives him courage to come up with inanities like this.

While his contemporaries have accepted age, and diversified their portfolios, getting well-written parts that may not be the lead, Sunny refuses to age. Character variation or diversification of portfolio are concepts alien to him. He has only one stock expression, and understands only one emotion; anger. No wonder he has a constipated smile. Thank god, the goons did not let him have those idlis.

JAAT is not a film. Its an assault on the sense of anyone who has sensibilities. Of course, the target audience will say otherwise. Neither is the plot longer than a line, nor does the lead gets to speak more than a line in most scenes.

In such a mindless saga, it is disappointing to see an actor of Randeep Hooda's caliber getting wasted, and thrashed. He is the real JAAT, but is made to play a souherner. Indian audience shoud be ashamed not to have recognized the brilliant work of this actor, and forced him to take up such inconsequential parts.

As for the makers, well those from the South industry are essentially hero worshippers. RRR, KGF, Pushpa etc are the recent examples.

It doesn't matter which language they make their movies, it begins and ends with giving the hero divine status. That the hero in this case is 68 years old and can't stand properly... well, who cares.

A Fiery Comeback: Sunny Deol Shines in This Gritty Action Drama

Jaat (2025) is a thunderous return to old-school action cinema, powered by none other than Sunny Deol in one of his most intense roles to date. Set in a lawless village where violence replaces justice, the story follows a lone warrior who doesn't speak much-but when he moves, chaos follows. The film explodes with raw energy, gripping fight sequences, and a relentless pace. Director Jagdeep Sidhu delivers a gripping narrative filled with emotional depth and mass appeal. The climax is an absolute knockout, with a twist that genuinely takes you by surprise. Jaat is more than just an action film-it's a statement. Highly recommended for fans of high-octane cinema.

Jaat style action and story☠

After gadar 2 this the first movie of sunny deol and this is a super duper movie by him the story the action the entry everything.

Now in this time most of the audience like action movie with emotion and perfect story most of the movies missing one or 2 qualities but this movie contains every quality the starting to ending everything. Not only this but also this movie contain perfect bgm, editing and the dialogue this qualities make the movie more interesting.

Entry new character and finish his story most effective and creative way.

In short this the best work of sunny deol in recent time. I really enjoy this movie from 1st to last every single clip. Thank you Mythri Movie Makers after Pushpa and Pushpa 2 giving this kind of movie.

And the dialogue and action scene is really appreciative.

Total Time waste

Total time waste.

As per my opinion Sunny Deol should restart drama in theater instead.

If you want to waste your money and time don't go and if you have spare time and money to waste pls utilize it in donation but don't go for the movie..

Now a days I don't find why Sunny deol is doing these movies to get fame. Bro why didn't you go and support farmers if you are really Jat??

All the things you should learn is to support farmers first then only you use this caste and word jaat.

And yes for our population.... People are getting mad because he used this name jaat to earn money.

Wake up guys.

Sunny Deol shines, outstanding work

Sunny Deol delivers biggest action film. Great action sequences and whole action of the movie felt real. If Sunny punches, no one ever gets up. Wonderful work by all the actors of the movie. No second of the movie was boring. Great work by the director and the whole team. ATBB. Movie is much better than other biggies. Film has all the ingredients in proper proportion be it comedy, emotions, action and masala. The suprise element in the movie was top notch and was at just right spot.

Sunny Deol is all over again, he is here to rule. The biggest action superstar ever in the history of movies industry.

Old man

Firstly can I say that use the name of Jaat is shameful marketing to try and attract the Sikh community, Sunny as a politician did nothing for the Jaat farmers during their stand against the government, so to use the Jaat name to promote the movie is shameful. This movie could be called anything as it had nothing to do with Jaat.

The presence of Sunny was nice, he was presented very well, but it is so clear that he is no old, in every action scene he just stood there. The idli story and sorry bol was hilarious. Randeep was excellent.

The movie didn't have a story, it was a vehicle for creating havoc, the movie is very violent, cutting off heads, cutting throats, the movie is littered in it. The BGM was deafening., not to my taste.

The movie overall is a good time, I enjoyed it very much, a good one time watch.

Full of Comedy Circus! 😆

What is this? How a movie became like this, starting in 2025! What the hell did the maker or Director do in starting with and finishing an Army team/troops like a cockroach with only 4 men without getting firing training? Randeep Hooda killed every army person with every bullet! How was that possible? Also, for a 100 crore budget movie, mr Old Sunny took 50 crore and the rest 50 for making this comedy circus? I thought if that army came from BSF, then the show would change with another story. Where they make their troops like a hero, actually they are like a cat, who kills innocents and acts like they are the best! Very ridiculous movie this is.

This is how Bollywood Masala Movie Should be!

I don't understand one thing about people, when people make good masala movie they don't watch and when bollywood makes all idiotic movies they watch that and then criticize it.

This movie is fun and masala and paisa vasaool, it was good to watch. The story was simple and basic not too tough to understand.

Sunny Deol is good in action and I loved the villain, Randeep Hooda, whichever role he does yk he is gonna perform best, and when it comes to Vineet Singh he also excels in the movie.

Rest star cast also did a good job and the direction was good and the action sequences were too good and the background music was also massy.

Overall a good movie.

Peak brain rot movie by an Ongole Golti Director

The movie is an absolute mess. There is no proper plot or making, the protagonist old man just screams and runs like a dinosaur with diarrhea. It's a 3rd class movie directed by a Telugu director (off course ) where they tried their best to show Tamils as villains and goons. Goltis are always trying to show Tamils in bad light, if we Tamils decide to expose these goltis atrocities in Tamilnadu, Karnataka it will be very funny than this movie. Recently An USA company fired more than 300 golti employees for using fake experiences and certificates...It's time to make movies about these golti fraudsters and expose their true face.

Mass Avatar redefined by Sunny Deol

This film is only for mass film lovers. Sunny Deol outshines again in 'Dhai Kilo ka Hath' mode.

Here are the things that worked for me:- 1. Character build for both Sunny Deol (as Brigadier Baldev Pratap Singh) and Randeep Hooda (as Ranatunga) is good. Gopichand Mallineni (the director as well as scriptwriter & screenplay writer) has done a good job by giving ample time in this case.

The actual names for both Sunny Deol & Randeep Hooda's character are revealed in the climax(last 30 mins). Screenplay is so engaging that as a viewer you never demand for identity reveal of Sunny Deol.

2. This film has taken good time in showing the characteristics of family (Ranatunga's wife, mother, brother) and his followers.

3. Action sequences are well designed and well executed.

4. Performance of other actors (Jagapathibabu, Regina Cassandra, Sayami Kher, Ramya Krishnan, Vineet Kumar Singh and others) are reliable.

5. Usage of songs are minimal. And the songs doesn't halt the flow of the screenplay.

Here are the things that didn't worked for me:- 1. The BGM in the action scenes could have been more engaging.

2. The Jaat song isn't that much likeable. The voice of Amrit Maan sounds robotic for some occasions.

3. The Climax could be more dramatic. The ending of Ranatunga's character isn't that much satisfying. The makers could have given some more space for Randeep Hooda's character in the climax.

100% Entertainment with 20% Story.

Biggest negative point of this movie is its story, there's nothing compelling in the story, in fact the story starts because of "Sorry Bol". Makers tried to add a few twists at the end by showing the past of Randeep Hooda and Sunny Deol's character and some scenes of women violence element but still the story is nothing much special.

The main reason to watch this movie is Sunny Deol and wow, this is how you represent sunny deol on screen, sunny deol has that aura that if he punches someone they should fly away like 2km's and Gopichand Maleneni delivers just that.

Sunny Deol in a mass action entertainer with all the aura he carries with a bold villain like Randeep Hooda made a great combination.

A Must watch for all Sunny Deol fans and a great timepass.

Jaat Movie!

JAAT - A Story of Pride, Power, and Passion

"I am a Jaat... I may lose my head, but I never drop my weapon." This one line is enough to tell you - 'Jaat' is not just a movie, it's a fire. It's about standing strong for your people, your land, and your honor.

Story The movie follows a brave man (played by Sunny Deol) who fights for justice, family, and his roots. He is fearless, powerful, and emotional - a true warrior from the heartland.

Action + Emotion = Perfect Blend 'Jaat' is full of high-energy action scenes that give you goosebumps. But it's not just about fights - the film also has deep emotions. The bond between mother and son, the pain of loss, and the courage to rise again - all touch your heart.

Acting & Direction Sunny Deol delivers one of his best performances - strong, intense, and emotional. Randeep Hooda plays the villain and gives a powerful performance. Director Gopichand Malineni keeps every scene impactful and meaningful.

Music & Background Score The background music makes every scene powerful. Whenever Sunny Deol appears on screen, the music lifts the emotion and power to the next level. The soundtrack adds the perfect punch to the movie's patriotic and emotional moments.

In the end... 'Jaat' is not only about one community - it's about every person who fights for truth, family, and respect. It will make you cry... and also fill your heart with pride.

Fruit Ninja, but with humans !

Get ready to watch fruit ninja with human heads ! All action/fighting scenes are like - pick any recent movie, ctrl C any fight scene, and do ctrl V !

Quite a forgetful movie, each fighting sequel seems like hours long, I'm sure the script was as small as 2, pages since there are more fighting scenes than actual dialogues.

Go watch it if you think you have nothing better to do in life !

Honestly, bollywood needs to start learning about depicting the true story and true character instead of just hours and hours long fighting sequences. This would have been a good one hour movie if it was not to stretched.

It's pathetic and sick

The positive reviews here are for sure are nothing but paid. Such a disgusting and sick. How in the name of entertainment you can do a loose motion.. a complete nonsensical full of violence displaying slashing of human heads as if it is nothing. Showing inhuman violence is a true reflection of how sick the makers are and how sick are they making the society by creating such vaahiyat movies Is the Government and Censor Board sleeping???? I don't expect much from Sunny Deol but Randeep, seriously I believe the makers need a treatment in a mental hospital. Even Hollywood doesn't make slasher movies to such extent.

You get what you have expected...

Being a sunny Deol Fan, waited long time for such Movie to come... After films like yamla pagla, chup etc I felt this one as masterpiece. Because I want Sunny paji to do such kind of Role which reminds me of his Ghatak, Ghayal, Damini, Ziddi etc... Again I agree some scene are over the top but that's fine if sunny Deol is doing it.

Pathan, Jawan, Pushpa, Animal and other Movies too have some illogical scenes but you made them cult, so why hatred to this one... It's Sunny Deol and it's gave me Nostalgia to watch him in such powerful role after long..... All and all it's good movie to watch, only it's have some brutal scenes. So kids can be avoided.
