The Social

The Social used to be watchable for certain guests and topics, but it's become unbearable now. Mostly due to Lainey Lui having lost her integrity. It is clearly evident she's become a paid schill for Meghan Markle, and as a result she has become shrill, snarky, and snide about all other members of the British Royal Family, other than Meghan and Harry. As Lainey herself would say, "It's not a good look." Many Canadians who make up the audience for the Social were brought up to have a deep respect for the Monarchy. And while we might agree that some traditions could be modernized, many of us aren't thrilled with the way Lainey promotes those changes in too radical and rude ways. She's lost the plot in her fervant stanning over MM for a paycheque, thus, she has lost all credibility on every topic. She just seems like a nasty mercenary nowadays. Ditch the Social, and Lainey, CTV!

Need better talent in the host panel. Who are these hosts? They are lousy. I only watched 10 minutes of this show to realize it's garbage.

When will this terrible show be taken of the air. It is an hour of four harpies talking over each other. Jess thinks she is a comedian. As Borat would say NOT. Lainey has no fashion sense, even though she thinks she does. Everything she wears is so boxy. So tired of her eye rolling. Melissa always talking about her daughter. WHO CARES. The only one who isn't annoying is Cynthia. Also, I thought these women were educated, but they all speak in uptalk. What are they, valley girls. Please cancel these middle age hags. At a certain age, long hair dors not look good on women, Lainey. Jess, stop trying to look young by wearing your dry, unconditioned, hair in a frizzy bun. Plus the "unbridled enthusiasm" to quote Kramer, is so phony. GO AWAY. CANCEL this horrible show.

This program should post a disclaimer at the beginning stating that it is for entertainment only! Tabloid TV at best!!

This talk show is an embarrassment to Canadian television. They used to focus on real interesting events, and then it toppled down to their own personal agendas and fun times - who cares?!

Even when the topics are bearable, their ecstatic overblown personalities are just way too much. Ladies, tone it down a notch, or two or... Stop yelling, lay off the caffeine, we can hear you! The only one I can take serious and don't cringe listening to is the latest addition to the panel - Marci. Had all these ladies gave off that persona of professionalism/fun, I could take this show seriously. But that annoyance of on screen presence that hurt my ears every time she opens her mouth - Jess Allen... please PLEASE mute her out or get her to get off that coffee/(?) high, she is way too much and unbearable with that irritating high pitched squeal of a voice. Uggghhh.

2/10 (+3 added for Marci, -6 deducted for Jess = 2/10)
