I am not sure I understand everything in this, but the movie makes you think. It is for people who like surrealism and old type European filmmakers. If you want modern science fiction then this is not a movie for you. If you want people experimenting with form, experimenting with showing emptiness through repetition and through emotionless acting and you like experiencing the emotions of the film rather than having them shown to you then this is great movie.

It is very full of great music as well.

Reviews that say bad acting are very stupid people who do not understand this kind of film.

I'll go with very bad. Terrible acting (don't care if it's on purpose), meaningless and slow sequence of events, no narrative that I could see anywhere, and lots of 80s or so music playing on a Walkman, like that's supposed to make up for everything else that's missing for this to be a movie.

How this got a 6.4 is beyond me. It's a 2/10, more like. An unwatchable mess.

This is scifi done on a literal shoe string and it shows. Something has happened to the sun and the earth will be destroyed. It is up to a girl called alice who has to try to piece the plot together which is a good thing because we cant so any help wading through this story is greatly appreciated. This tries to be a thinking scifi on the level of say tarkovskys solaris. It tries real hard to be meaningful and baffling but just comes off as pretentious. The plot is hard to follow and its clearly trying to be the type arty scifi festivals and critics rave about. If it had been more straightforward and less experimental it probably would have been much better. As it stands there are a few pretty ok visuals which is an achievement as it was clearly done for a low budget. Otherwise ill pass.

Not gonna lie, I barely understood this movie, but it got me thinking. Great music and mindbending weirdness about a person living a really bleak life. Movie is definitely dark and bleak and slow at times (but on purpose), so if you're looking for high-speed car chases, this is not for you. If you like smart, weird stuff you have to think about, give it a spin!
