Panic is a comic-melodramatic film about a "panicked" woman in her mature years who wants to escape the role of a mere mother, wife and a housewife.

Vera, suppressed and in a in routine caught 40-year-old woman becomes obsessed with an idea that she will never be in love. In search of solutions by a life changing prediction on the basis of coffee grounds saying she will meet the right man. In pursuit of the predicted she easily succumbs to the charms of a family friend Mitja. For Vera love is fatal. Fallen in a hot affair put at stake her relationships with loved ones and when Mitja gets tired of her, her world collapses. We monitor the emotional transformation of a woman who no one notices to the woman who came to recognize herself. Scenario after a novel by Desa Muck: Barbara Zemljič.
