Very little effort

Biggest laugh of the movie was when a news anchorman (talking into a pumpkin) says the shocking events have created tension for the host and guests in the studio, and they cut to those actors looking completely disinterested.

A truly bizarre spectacle. It tries to be a parody of ghost hunting TV specials like Ghostwatch was, but incredibly cheap and with almost no effort put into it. I have no idea who this for, nor why they bothered to tie it into House on Haunted Hill when it could have been any haunted house. With a little more effort, it could have been an entertaining 15-minute Halloween video, but the decision to stretch it to feature length is truly baffling.
