I don't understand how they could ruin a film like this. The story had huge potential, with breathtaking landscapes and a stunning male lead who holds the screen effortlessly. Bunch of bad cheap rubber maks that really has very little relivence to whatever storyline already vaguely existed and Gimli and Legolas would have been very disappointed at the lack of challenge they presented...
