Superman is set to feature multiple superheroes beyond the titular Man of Steel. Batman, however, will not be one of them.

After a fan asked Superman writer-director James Gunn, who is also co-ceo of DC Studios, on Threads, if the plan was still for Batman's live-action DC Universe debut to be in his solo movie, The Brave and the Bold, the filmmaker simply responded, "Yes." This means that Batman will also not make a cameo in Supergirl or Clayface, the latter of which is centered around one of the hero's more recognizable rogues, who will be portrayed by Doctor Who guest star Tom Rhys Harries.

Teen Titans: The Judas Contract is the second film featuring these heroes from Warner Animation and DC. It is a marked improvement over the disappointing Teen Titans Vs. Justice League. Based on a four part, 1984 comic series, Teen Titans: The Judas Contract introduces a new Titan, Tara Markov (Christina Ricci) aka Terra, a young woman with the ability to control earth and stone. Directed by Sam Liu and written by Ernie Altbacker, the film slickly integrates adult themes into its entertaining plotline. The Judas Contract is action packed and moves at a fast pace. The Teen Titans are certainly on better footing here.

With the voice cast having been revealed several weeks ago and the Blu-ray release of Justice League Dark now behind us (be sure to check out our review), it comes as no surprise that Warner Home Video wasted little time in releasing a trailer for the next DC animated film, Teen Titans: The Judas Contract.

Paying tribute to the classic comic book storyline penned by Marv Wolfman and illustrated by George Perez, this long awaited adaptation will be a bit more loose than expected, seeing as how it has to align with the New 52 inspired continuity established by the current crop of animated movies. Still, fans should be pleased to see familiar faces such as Nightwing, Raven, Beast Boy and Starfire, along with new additions like Robin/Damian Wayne and Blue Beetle.

Justice League Vs. Teen Titans is Warner Brothers' other versus film coming out this March. During last weekend's WonderCon I had a chance to see an advanced screening of the animated movie that's in the same cineverse as films like Son of Batman and Justice League: War.

If you've seen those previous films then your expectations should be perfectly dialed in for what the tone, quality of animation, and voice acting will be like. That said, Justice League Vs. Teen Titans feels pretty safe in terms of story. While solidly told, it's not mind blowing for a team "origin" story. The story is so simple giving a summary would give away too much (so sorry for the short review).

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is almost in theaters, and the promotional machine has hit light speed. Everywhere you look, the ominous logos of its two iconic superheroes are everywhere, crowding billboards and buses, breakfast cereal boxes and toy isles. So why should the comic book store be any different. This is where these titans originated. So of course it makes sense that DC Comics is using the movie to sell its most recent line-up of monthly adventures.

Both the Dark Knight and The Man of Steel will be gracing the covers of quite a few DC Comics titles thourghout the month of March. Verdict:

So here we are with another ‘Original’ movie from DC, who were once a Juggernaut when it came to releasing a constant stream of excellent animated movies that eclipsed the majority of DC’s live-action catalogue. But it does appear (apart from a few films like Jl: Gods and Monsters and Batman: Assault on Arkham) that things are not going to change any time soon (especially with how Justice League vs.

Variant covers are something of a tradition in American comics--usually superhero comics. While I generally abhor the tradition for two reasons (one, the covers never represent the actual content in the books, and two, I hate that it preys on the completionist's Ocd), even I have to admit that they tend to get some quality cover designs out of it, and if this first series of covers is any indication, this will be no exception.

In celebration (and promotion) of the upcoming Batman v Superman, DC will be producing three variant covers for ten issues of comics. The first issue to get this treatment will be Detective Comics #50, with the cover being done by Rafael Grampa.

We’ve got two clips for you to watch from Warner Bros. Animation’s upcoming animated film Batman: Bad Blood. The first clip is called “Dates,” and it’s an action sequence that features Nightwing fighting the villain Blockbuster. The second clip is called “Gone,” and it shows us a conversation Nightwing and Alfred have about Batman’s disappearance.

When Batman goes missing, it will take the entire Bat “family” – including new additions Batwoman and Batwing – to keep the peace in Gotham City and unravel the mystery behind the Dark Knight’s disappearance in Batman: Bad Blood.

This movie was inspired by a few different Batman stories including Batman: R.I.P., Batman & Robin, and Batman Inc. It's also a follow-up to the previous animated films Son of Batman and Batman vs. Robin. If you liked those two movies, then you're sure to enjoy this one.

Batman: Bad Blood, the next animated DC movie, finally has a release date. It will first be available via Digital HD on January 19, 2016 and will later arrive on Blu-Ray and DVD on February 2.

For those unfamiliar, the film continues the story started in Son of Batman and Batman vs. Robin and will see how the Bat-Family and Gotham City as a whole react to the disappearance of Batman (Jason O’Mara), leading to Dick Grayson/ Nightwing assuming the mantle of The Dark Knight. Quite honestly, I have been waiting years for a movie like this.

Fans who attended New York Comic Con over the weekend got to see the first look at the new animated movie Batman: Bad Blood, which is expected to debut on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD formats in early 2016. In case you couldn't make it to Nycc at the Javits Center last weekend, the new episode of DC All Access has revealed the first trailer for the latest DC Universe Original Movie. The web series also spoke with Jason O'Mara, who provides the voice of Batman, who helped break down the plot.

DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation have released the first trailer for their latest DC-animated feature "Batman: Bad Blood" which will debut on Digital HD, DVD and Blu-ray in early 2016.

Jump to the 1:17 mark in the clip below to see the new footage. Jason O'Mara reprises the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman in the film which serves as a follow-up to both "Son of Batman" and "Batman vs. Robin". The new one will also incorporate Batwoman and Batwing into the plot.

Also onboard are Stuart Allen as Robin, Sean Maher as Nightwing, Morena Baccarin as Talia al Ghul, Yvonne Strahovski as Batwoman, Gaius Charles as Batwing and Ernie Hudson as his father Lucius Fox.

For over 20 years now, Warner Bros. Animation has been producing some of the finest programmes and films in the business, with their most successful outings of course revolving around the titular heroes of the DC Universe. Recently however? Their releases have been less than exemplary.

The decline can be traced back to the demise of DC’s old universe, with the New 52 sadly alienating a great deal of fans with its rupturing of continuity and unchecked editorial interference. Sadly, its roots have also worked their way into DC’s once immaculate animated efforts, with films like Justice League: War and Son of Batman embedding themselves very comfortably in the annals of animated mediocrity. Uniform art styles and rigid story telling never used to be the norms of Warner Bros.’ animated adaptations, but they certainly are now.

After efforts like Justice League:War, Son of Batman and Batman vs Robin. Justice League: Gods and Monsters is a real breath of fresh air and a sign that DC Animation can be as good as they used to be, which was a long while ago.

First up for the DC Comics reveals today. As part of the celebration of the Boy Wonder's 75 anniversary, DC announced a 26-issue follow-up to their hit series, Batman Eternal. (via Comic Vine) Batman & Robin Eternal, the sequel to the blockbuster weekly series Batman Eternal, will begin on October 7 with weekly installments over the course of six months. Scott Snyder (Batman) and James Tynion IV (Batman Eternal, Constatine: The Hellblazer) will act as “showrunners” for the series with Tynion as lead writer. While the Darseid War rages on in Justice League #44 promising an ending that will “change the League forever”, Justice League United #13 hints at the return of a legendary DC character.

Come September, it looks like DC has decided to start mixing things up as characters begin to collide in new and exciting ways. Lobo and Sinestro cross over, as the intergalactic bounty hunter squares off with the master of fear. In Robin, Son of Batman #4, Damian Wayne goes toe-to-toe with Deathstroke, Slade Wilson. There’s been much hand-wringing about the state of DC Comics’ live-action franchise, with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice looking increasingly like a make-or-break proposition if they want to keep up with Marvel. Following the first trailer released in January, Warner Bros. has released the first clip for Batman Vs. Robin during this week's episode of the web series DC All Access. This scene gives us our first look at the Court of Owls, as Batman (Jason O'Mara) does battle with three of these villains inside their lair. If that wasn't enough, director Jay Oliva also broke down the story, and explains how Batman's son Damien first interacts with the Court of Owls. Take a look at what he had to say below.

Following the trailer for Batman Vs. Robin, Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have released the cover art for the animated film along with some additional details. The reaction from fans regarding this movie have been mixed, especially since a lot of people didn't seem very happy with the last movie, Son of Batman.
