I love watching this show. It's so adorable and with beautiful food! Harry Hamlin is so gracious and laid back, and it's very sweet to see he and his niece interact. She is so fun in the kitchen with him and so very patient. He and his wife have a beautiful home, and a fabulous greenhouse that he uses for his recipes. I love that they cook foods that are within the reach of everyday folks - family style hearty fare. They also bring on terrific guests. It's so refreshing to watch a show that doesn't have mass violence or death and destruction, just good wholesome entertainment that makes you feel good!

Renee Guilbault and Harry Hamlin are so much fun. I absolutely love the honest and loving way they cook together! The immense respect and love they have for one another makes it not just a great cooking show but gives the audience some downright fun in doing so! We've always loved watching Harry cook for the women of RHOBH where he is always kind and gracious and smart enough to stay away from their endless BS. We're actually going to attempt to make his famous "Bolognese" and his "Linoleum Chicken." Mandy Patinkin just the other day was on instagram making his "Bolognese" while his son was filming. Now that would be a fun trio to cook together just sayin.'
Julia Child actually roasts her beef bones before making beef stock for her beef bourguignon if you don't it can be bitter and it won't be as rich. The reason you roast the bones is to add flavor and color to your broth Julia said it's very important to roast it long with your vegetables before making your stock. It also helps with getting rid of some of the fat from the bones that you pour off before making your stock so you don't have to skim as much fat off the top of your stock once it is cooking. This is something that Julia recommended very highly before making your bone broth with the beef bones for your beef bourguignon.
