Uncommon

Uncommon's plot is located somewhere in deep red state America where the majority of the students are bible believing fundamentalists. They're looking to put on a show the way Mickey and Judy used to at MGM with a religious point of view. But the school administration is concerned lest the folks from the hated ACLU find out and they're in court.

Fear not because Mat Staver of the Liberty Counsel who in this film and in real life is a lawyer ready to do battle for the rights of Fundamentalists to express their views, wherever, whenever.

Staver has produced this film in which he is the hero. It must be nice to be the head of an organization that makes a film having you as the hero.

This is the same man who also goes around trying to stamp out the rights of LGBTQ people to express their views on living and loving. This high school if there are any gay kids attending are deep in the closet and with good reason.

Uncommon has one uncommon amount of hubris or gall.

Finally, a well written Christian movie. We show Christian movies every month in our youth group and it is getting harder and harder to find one. My teens beg me no more sad movies. I will have to tell them that's not all of about a school shooting. The only reason I couldn't give it a 10 is because the acting isn't really up to a 10.

This is what most governments and the elite fear. What you say? That the public will find out what their rights are and stand on them. The foundation of this country (USA)was built on these rights. Christianity is in the very founding documents and many writings of the founders of the USA. That's fact, but many that be want that silenced.

This movie us a great reminder to all Americans that "freedom isn't free"!

At times a bit difficult to follow, but the plot is there, in education especially in the UK teachers are very against students sharing their Christian faith. They will not allow prayer in the school. So it point of fact this film takes it on this very difficult subject. ! I do not watch many Christian films, and have only been watching them through this free trail on Pure Flix.

Let me just get these three things out of the way first. This is an independent Christian film, so it is automatically going to be hated by the secular masses for being under-produced, overly dramatic, and preachy. I know this before reading a single review. The prejudice against Christians doesn't exist, they say, in the same breath they malign the movie for it's blatant Christian existence, along with all the other Christian movies. Secondly, the plot is similar to all those old Judy Garland/Mickey Rooney movies and episodes of The Brady Bunch. "Hey guys, why don't WE put on a show?". Third, the cast is made up of Christian unknowns and a few washed-up, has-been actors, in this case, Eric Estrada of CHiPs and Irma P. Hall, who I remembered from the strange Tom Hanks movie remake Ladykillers. With that out of the way, I'd just add that given all of that baggage, this actually comes out smelling pretty good.
