Couple to Throuple

Granted i was skeptical about the premise of this show from the start, promiscuity can only ever be a negative thing and a show aimed at glamorizing it as if its something to be proud of could only be a negative influence to viewers but after watching it, it was even worse than i thought, not just in terms of its poor message but also in terms of its poor delivery, badly scripted, and with drama awkwardly shoehorned in to make it seem more spicy than it really was in itself polyamory does not work and always leads to actual hostility and conflict, this show kinda downplays what really happens behind the scenes with its soap opera-esque interpretation of it.

I was pretty interested in this show after the first few episodes -- it seemed to challenge relationship expectations and encourage honest communication. As the show continued, the drama seemed too scripted and reality TVish, rather than real. I forwarded through most of the last episode just to see who stayed together.

This ended up being just another reality show with wanna-be social media stars dressing up and participating in meaningless challenges that just stirred the pot instead of adding meaningful ingredients.

Not a great example of how healthy polyamorous relationships can thrive, and the hard work it takes over times.

A bunch of people trying to convince themselves how evolved they are only to discover their natural responses like self-doubt, jealousy, control and manipulation hobble their efforts. They keep forging onward (to the sound of one hand clapping) displaying their inadequacies and lack of self awareness.

This show is genuinely boring because nothing really happens. If the individuals were ever held to account for their subjective idiosyncrasies in relation to others it would be more interesting.

From a couple who are emotionally checked out, to a married couple of bodybuilders; she is into a relationship but all he wants is sex. These 'storylines' could have been explored but they lay dormant.

I was busy potting plants while I listened to this so I made it interesting myself!! Lolz.
