The Adventures: Send My Heart

Another memorable moment for The Adventures with a song that stays with you for a long time (and I just heard it, as a matter of fact). But besides that fact of them having a song which listeners like it, the video concept was pretty cool to watch, revolving a young actor (lead singer Terry Sharpe) trying his breakthrough on a promissing play at the same time he feels he might lose the love of his life, as he spots an admirer of his girl trying to conquer her. That's the challenge: career or love? And there goes our hearts...

The band appears here and there, so the little story is what interests us and there's bits of dialogue in the bookends of the video. Sharpe was a good actor in the video, just as the professional actors who appear in the video (the play's director looked familar but I couldn't remember from where). There's drama, romance, some funny bits and obvious a great musical number at the end. Last but not least, the story makes you think about certain important life decisions, what you choose from life and what life can give you back or not with such choice.

The song is one of those fun loving 1980's moments that hardly ever go wrong, but it's a pity that the band is totally unknown in here - I've been listening to them a lot these days. They rocked! 8/10.
